It never rains, it pours

on October 4, 2008 - 1:03pm

I had a car accident while I was coming home yesterday. I got distracted for a minute and rear-ended the car in front of me. My husband is so angry with me. At least the woman was nice. I talked to her this morning and her attitude was, "it's just a car, no one was hurt." Thank God for good persons in this world.

I got up this morning, and our sump pump had failed. There was water all over the basement floor. At least we had an extra pump.

I just got a new cell phone and all ready managed to break the clip on holder.

I left my cats outside all day yesterday. I've never done that before.

I'm worried the law firm is going to ask me to go on a 24-30 hour week because I'm not making my billable hours.

It never just rains, does it.

He's just Josh

on September 27, 2008 - 5:35pm

I was thinking about Josh's performance on the Emmy's. He was so funny and cute, as always.

What struck me was just a short time before, he made me cry with his performance on Stand Up To Cancer.

In some ways, it's amazing he can do this. In other ways it isn't. I think it's because he's just Josh. In other words, he's himself. He doesn't try to be anyone else.

I remember the first time I saw him in 2001. He was on Ally McBeal. When he started singing, my mouth dropped open. I was in awe of his talent. (I still am.) I remember seeing him interviewed sometime after that. I could put that interview up against an interview today and he'd be exactly the same. He hasn't changed at all. He's grown as an artist, but never changed as a person.

I was so lucky I got to meet him last summer. He loved what I did (I made him laugh) and he enjoyed the "special" gift I gave him. I never believed I'd ever meet him. I'm really happy I did and it was exactly the way I thought it would be.

He's just Josh....just that kid I saw on television 7 years ago.....

I hate it when the boards don't work....

on September 26, 2008 - 4:47pm

I hate it when the boards don't work right. It drives me NUTS!

Speaking of nuts, I don't understand who didn't like Josh's performance on the Emmy's. He was very funny and adorable. Geez, he had to change voices and tempo so quickly. I'd like to see some them try that!

PPPPPPFFFFFTTTTTT on them. Thank you.

Things that make me laugh

on September 20, 2008 - 4:58am

Did you ever see something on television and you just laughed your head off? I've been watching episodes of the "old" "Cosby Show" on TVLand. I laugh so hard when I watch the show! The other night was an episode about a card game and I was roaring. His show was so funny without ever being offensive.

I also saw Patrick Stewart on a talk show. He was talking about when he did live theatre. He was doing a very serious play (Shakespeare). The line was "and tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow"...out of the front row, a woman said to her in friend (in a British accent) "now that would be Tuesday wouldn't it." He said it was all he could do not to laugh out loud.

I just thought it was funny!

God Bless!
