Update

on January 26, 2007 - 7:47am

Well, I haven’t written in exactly one month so I thought I would update my life.

Chad’s wedding went super. It was snowing that day and we were worried that we couldn’t drive to Denver in time for the ceremony but everyone left really early so that we could all get there in one piece. Amber looked so beautiful in her dress. It had short sleeves so afterward when they were taking pictures she was really cold. Chad kept her warm. lol. They had their honeymoon up at Estes Park. Chad was having nightmares about not being able to get up there because of the snow but they got there with no problems. It was weird to think that Chad and Amber were married at first but now I am used to it. After almost one month I better be used to it.

I almost couldn’t go to school this semester because I didn’t know how I was going to pay for it. But I talked to my grandparents and they lent me some money. I have to pay them back and save up enough money for next semester. I have to work really hard and get lots of money. At least I’m not taking a summer term so that I can work full time in the summer and earn more money then just working part time during the school year.

Chris Botti came to Abravenal Hall on Monday, January 22. I really wanted to get tickets but I could afford them. I love his music. It is so smooth and wonderful. Like Josh’s music only without words and on a trumpet. Maybe next year he’ll come back and I can see him then. Here’s for hoping.

I looked up the Australian Open stats and found out that Roger Federer defeated Andy Roddick in the semi-finals. I am so mad at that. For one I would have stayed up so that I could watch it live at one in the morning because I like both players. But I being American really wanted Andy to win. He lost to a Swiss at 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. The second one wasn’t even close. I am so happy that Andy got to the semi-finals but I was hoping that he might be able to win. He has been the semi-finalist in 2003 and 2005 and now 2007. He can’t get passed Roger who has won the Australian Open in 2004 and 2006 and now he might win this one too. Frustrating! Oh well, he is still cute.

merry christmas and beyond

on December 26, 2006 - 8:56am

Christmas in Colorado has been very interesting. Fort Collins got 21 inches of snow. The drive across Wyoming was dry and uneventful, as always. My family and I didn’t run into any problems until we got to our own street. All the main roads were plowed, even the subdivision was plowed but our street was not plowed. So we had to get a tractor and plow out the road so that people could get in and out. My brothers and I built a fort and a sledding slide with the snow on the side of the driveway. It was a lot of fun. My family didn’t have a big Christmas with lots of presents so my Christmas wish list did not get filled but that doesn’t matter. What matters most is spending time with my brothers and hanging out with friends. I got to talk to one of my brothers who has been in California for almost two years. That was really nice to hear his voice.

Now that Christmas is over I am thinking toward my next big adventure. My oldest brother, Chad, is getting married in two days. It is so weird to think that he is getting married. For the first time in eighteen years I will have a sister. I get along with her really well but it is still weird. Chad is the one person I really respect and admire and he is starting his own family. Oh well, life goes on.

best day ever

on December 8, 2006 - 9:35am

I am so excited! I was looking around That Josh Groban Guy and I found Josh singing ‘Maria’ from ‘West Side Story.’ I love that song to begin with and to hear Josh sing it is so beautiful. I never knew it was even there until three years after it was recorded. I love it! I was also checking on the Oprah air date. Josh sings on Oprah on Monday, December 11th. I was on Michael Bublé’s website to see if there was any news. He is also going to be on Oprah on the same episode, along with Tony Bennett, and others. I am so happy! Josh and Michael in one show…again. Josh did surprise Michael and show up at his concert to ruin his skit. It is on Michael Bublé’s DVD called ‘Caught In The Act.’ I thought it was funny. I am having such a good day! This morning I was getting ready for my day and I heard Josh on the radio singing ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas.’ It was kind of funny because I was thinking about that song and I wanted to hear it and then it started playing. Then when I was in the car I heard Michael Bublé singing ‘The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting).’ And to make this day even better I am having a pizza party in choir and it is a Friday! Happiness!

Bored of Homework

on December 6, 2006 - 9:54am

I need to take a break from my Accounting homework. I don’t really like it but it is a required class for my major so I am sticking to it. I have a great teacher so it is not that bad. But I can only take so much!

I am really glad that Groban’s people put ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’ on itunes. Now I can listen to it as many times as I want! I was listening to the radio this morning and the djs played that song and I screamed. Now they play ‘O Holy Night,’ ‘Believe,’ and ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas.’ Happiness!

I just remembered that Josh is in Chicago today to record an episode of Oprah. They better tell us when that airs because I want to see it.

Tonight I am going to see a play with my parents. It is a comedy called ‘You Can't Take It With You.’ I think that it should be interesting and funny. I am looking forward to it.
