I just arrived home and guess who was sitting on my doorstep?

Well, in the form of his PBS An Evening in New York City DVD that is. Got you going for just a second didin't I? Sorry dirty trick. It was the next best thing to having Josh sitting there though. lol

I'm going to try and squeeze Josh in while I'm doing my chores before taking off again. I saw the lithograph and dare I say.......THUD!!!!

My day has completely turned around. I really needed this today. OH YEAH!!!!!!!

Have a Joshplendid day!!

I didn't realize that I hadn't been on here for so long. No wonder I'm feeling I hope all is well with everyone.
I had written that I had my dad in the dr.s office for his foot last week. His foot is doing better the doc thinks he fractured some bones in the top of his foot. That was last week. Today for 6 hours. I wasn't sure what was wrong but the description he was giving me pver the phone at the time sounded like a heart attack. When I got to him he didn't remember telling me anything of the sort. His symptoms were totally different. I took him in and after waiting what seemed like forever found out that he fractured a rib. I'm afraid to ask what's next.It would probably be easier if he lived with us but that won't happen anytime soon. He's a stubborn old man and thinks he can still be independent. I'm not saying I blame him but it's frustrating is all. Oh I get him home and he's talking about goig out on the golf range. WHAT? I don't think so! I'm going to have to watch him like a hawk for a while to make sure he does what he's told to do. What made it all worthwhile was when he thanked me for taking such good care of him and he said it with tears in his eyes and a quiver in his voice. My heart melted. That is so out of character for my dad. He has become much more appreciative of my sisters help and mine. It's difficult but we need to care for our elders. My belief is that they cared for us once and now that they need our help so it's our turn.

I have been asked by a few people if the driver from my hit and run accident was ever caught. The answer is no. The officer suggested that I keep a look out for the car and if I see it call them immediately or if I get a license # call the police with that. I would love to nail them but I think that I'm going to give up thinking about it.

I'm so sorry for not reading your journals lately. I will do my best to catch up with all of you.

Take care and Josh hugs,

Another beautiful 92 degree day in WA. OH,I could really get used to this. I'm getting my vitamin D as the dr. ordered. lol I love orders like those.

My sister called and asked if I could help her with their lawn mower. HUH? Oh yeah that's right she has only used a mower once. I went and showed her how to use their mower. I stayed while she mowed her yard. lol When she finished she said that it was a real workout. I remember those days. I used to mow my MIL's 3/4 of an acre yard then come home to mow our 8,000+ sq. ft. yard. Those were the days when I was slimmer too. lol

I'm home for a bit before heading back out in the traffic jungle to pick up Missy and then pick up her new phone. I can't wait for this fiasco to be over. Her phone was stolen from her desk at work last week. Another persons was stolen today, anyway I ordered another one. I waited for the delivery to come three days ago and it never did. It was explained that the address wasn't complete. WHAT? Her apt. number wasn't on there. I had to wait again for it to be delivered. I had to sign for it. I have to sign for cause it's so expensive. That's a Blackberry for ya. She received it and guess what? It was defective!! I had to mail it back to the Again I had to wait for the delivery today. It was supposed to come between 11-3. It didn't I called only to find out that once again they left the apt. number off the address. I was so upset and called to complain. I told them that if this is going to be habit of theirs then they are going to have to start paying my lost wages. Yeah, right like that will ever happen. We're going to pick it up instead of wasting my day waiting for the dumb thing. OK, I feel better now. I had to get that off my chest.

I'm starting to feel happy again. THANKS for listening to me b@*+^.

Have a Joshulous day or night where ever you may be.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Washington Huskies 2009 NCAA Women's College World Series Softball National Champions !!!!!!!!! We are proud of you!!!!

It's a beautiful sunny 93 degree day here. (It's too bad that there are so many fires here right now though.) I'm loving the weather!!! Our house is also air conditioned. I still love the hot weather though. I was thinking back when I was in Grenada in the Southern Caribbean. It was beautiful and warm. My MIL was dying from heat. We found out later that it was 130+. NOW that's hot!! It was a dry heat so it didn't seem that hot to me. I'm one that just likes the heat what can I say. lol
I'm taking it easy today. It's time to take a me day. It's been very busy for me since last week. It's nice to just stay home and spend time with JR and Josh two of my favs.

Have wonderful day all.

The day started out as a beautiful hot day. It was 88 degrees here. LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Today was also a very long day. My poor, dear, sweet, father fell today. He called me and asked me to take him to his Dr., that by the way looks like he could be 20. lol I went to see him and it took 40 minutes just for him to get out of his chair so he could get ready to go. It took him another two hours to get him out the door.

His Dr. thinks that he may have fractured the upper portion of his left foot. He had an x-ray and won't know the results till tomorrow.

I got him back in his condo and settled in for the night. I arrived home at 8:03 tonight. I'm so BEAT !!!!!!

Dad is losing his thought process which makes it difficult to remember much of anything right. He's still of sound enough mind that he REFUSES to live where he can be helped. My heart breaks for him. It's really hard to know how to help him when he doesn't want help except when HE wants it and on his terms.
It's a B@#*H being old (94).

I'm sorry I had to get that off my mind. Thank you for listening so to speak.

Have a Joshplendy night.
