Day of accomplishment

on October 13, 2007 - 8:10pm

Today was a fabulous sunny,67 degree day. It felt like a late summer. The day inspired me to get out and do what weeding I could do. I also mowed the yard (that's easy with a riding mower). I was even able to acquire my son's help for the things that I'm not able to do. We have a rose bush that grew 14 feet tall this year. It has had at least one rose on it since the day we received it for my mother-in-laws passing. The rose is called the gift of life. How true it is. It was time to cut it down cosiderably for winter. I was able to snag my son to do some yard work that I'm not able to do at this time. Now that's an accomplishment. The yard looks great and I feel better knowing it's done before winter hits.
I'm going to take a nice leisurely bath by candlelight and enjoy Josh singing. What a way to end the day.

Have a wonderful evening.

Goulash Conversation

on October 12, 2007 - 7:34pm

I visited my Aunt Bobbie today. I took her shopping and visited. I played Josh's NOEL CD for her. She told me that it was the best Christmas music she's heard in a long while. I guess I know what I'm getting her for Christmas this year. Talk about appealing to a wide age group. She also said that if she were younger she could really go for him. LOL She would have to be a lot younger being she's 94 soon to be 95. She's such a kick to be around. Sometimes her humor reminds me of Josh or vice versa.

I actually got outside today in the beautiful warm sunny weather and tried a little weeding. It felt good to do something for a change.

For some reason I haven't been able to sleep the last two nights. I've had 5 1/2 hours total for two nights. I'm dragging tonight so I'm going to crawl into bed where it's warm and get some sleep tonight with a little help from my RX. Something I don't like doing but I NEED sleep.

Have a great weekend.

NOEL CD/DVD and JOSH

on October 11, 2007 - 9:08am

I arrived at Target and there were a lot of fans there waiting to get in to buy NOEL. I was fortunate enough to get the second to the last one. The last one was gone as fast as I picked up my copy.

The NOEL CD is absolutely fantasmaglorious!!!!!! I LOVE it! Somehow listening to the songs is like listening to them for the very first time. No one could have pulled off singing the songs the way he has. I have to say that my most favorite songs are Petit Papa Noel and What Child Is This? (Greensleeves). I sang that in school choir and loved it then. We have a Christmas ship that runs in Puget Sound and the different lakes in the area. People would be on the beaches or outside their homes to listen to the choirs sing. It's still a tradition to this day. Being able to sing on the ship was such an honor. I still enjoy the Christmas Ship to this day even if it does take 30 min. to get to the beach to hear the music.

JOSH is someone who comes along in this life 1 in 10,000,000. Of course that's just my opinion. He has a humor that makes me laugh from the gut and he has raised feelings in me that I haven't felt in years.I feel so blessed to have Josh in my life. Very few can do that. He really is hilarious, kind hearted, talented, humble and so much more.

I will be anxiously awaiting the Awake Tour CD/DVD. You can bet I'm buying that!!

Have a great GROBAN day!!!!!!!!

A Little Prayer

on October 8, 2007 - 7:07pm

I found this lttle prayer in a notebook that I've had for years. It's cute.

Dear Lord,
So far today, I'm-doing all right.

I have not gossiped, lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or self-indulgent. I have not whined, complained, cursed, or eaten any chocolate. I have charged nothing on my credit card.

But I will be getting out of bed in a minute, and I think that I will really need your help then.

Have a good night everyone!!

Football widow day/weather

on October 7, 2007 - 12:27pm

Well, my husband is doing his thing and watching football game after football game today. I'm not into football the way he his. I enjoy a game if it's the Seahawks now and then. Today they're getting theirbutts kicked 21-0 ugh!! They need more work before they get into any final games that's for sure.
Today is a very windy, cold and wet day. The weatherman was saying that we seemed to have skipped fall and went right into winter. I'm not so sure people around her are real happy about that. We're getting snow in the mountains already which is usually a sign of a bad winter.
I guess I'll just have to have Josh keep me company on all the dreary days.
It's a good day to work on Josh's blanket. I haven't worked on it for a while cause I realized the last time I had, it looked ridiculous. I had to pull out alot of work. I know that I can't work on it when on my pain meds. I didn't notice a difference in how it affected me till I looked at my work!! YUCK!! Embarrassing!!
I'm going to try and get at least one panel done today so with that have a great Sunday.
