Pamper Session

on March 6, 2009 - 4:55am

I decided on Tuesday to book myself a little pamper session for tomorrow. So I'm having a massage, my nails and hair done, all in one go and I can't wait. I've been working so many extra hours lately, that the days have been rolling into one another and I need to just relax.

My nephew fell off his bike while doing some stunts in the local park and knocked himself unconsious. He was not wearing the new helmet my sister had bought for him just the day before. She went balistic. Anyway he's okay, they kept him in hospital overnight. He's got gravel rash all down one side of his face and a black eye, which for some reason he seems very proud of?

My step niece who now lives in Australia has just had a baby girl and they have given her an aboriginal name, which for the life of me I can't remember how to spell, but sounds a bit like tangerine when you say it out loud. That's the only way I can remember it.LOL.

I've finally decided on a name for the little cat that has adopted me, Mogg's. It finally let me stroke it two days ago, and ventured into the house yesterday evening, but panicked and nearly hurt itself tying to get out, although I'd left the door wide open. But thank you all for the name suggestions that you gave me.

Also thank you to those of you who emailed me, as you were concerned because you hadn't heard from me for a while. I really appreciate your concern.

Take care everyone and have a really great weekend.

Cat Adoption

on February 23, 2009 - 1:37pm

Well I seem to have been adopted by yet another cat. I'm starting to feel like the old woman on the Simpsons who wears the grey raincoat and has all those cats following her. This little kitty turned up last week while I was on leave. I think it looks around 4 months old. And I think either someone got it for Christmas and then threw it out, or it's lost. I've asked all my neighbours but no one seems to know where it belongs. It's very timid and won't yet let me stroke it, but I'm feeding it and it's living in my greenhouse at the moment. (It won't come into the house yet). I have a theory that all the cats in the area talk to each other and say, 'you're lost, go to Jo's house she'll feed you'.

The little kitty cat is ginger and white. Anyway as I don't yet know if its a little boy or girl kitty I'm having difficulty thinking up a name for him/her so any suggestions would be welcomed.

Not so happy day

on February 11, 2009 - 8:31am

It was my friend Angie's funeral today. Something I found really strange was that it was sunny before we got to the cemetry, rained all the time we were there, and then the sun came back out almost as we walked out of the gates.

I'm a little upset with the church. On the funeral service booklet, they got her name wrong. Her surname was Brook and they put Bullock as her surname! Her brother and sisters were so upset by this. The vicar did apologise, but how can you make a mistake like that. I mean it's distressing enough without having that happen. The church was full and they played Neil Diamond (he was her favourite singer).

I'm so glad that Josh found Sweeney. Can you imagine if he hadn't, we'd all be walking round trying to help Josh find him. I bet Sweeney was glad when he saw his daddy.

So Sad

on February 5, 2009 - 9:03am

My friend Angie died on Sunday. I guess the doctors she was under were pretty acurate, they told her she probably only had till the end of January and she died on the 1st February. She really wanted her last days to be at home, but they took her into hospital on Friday night and she was unable to return home. It's so sad, she was only a few years older than me. Cancer is just such a terrible thing.

Her sister Kate is going to look after her 2 dogs Merlin and Cracker I was really worried about what would happen to them. I would have offered to have them myself, but with being out at work all day, it just wouldn't have been good for them. Anyway at least they have a home now and with someone they know.

I'm sure I'll get back to being my jolly self soon. Did any of you get to speak to Josh in the live chat. Let me know if you did, what you asked and what he answered. I really hope some of you did.

Take care
Jo
