My Retreat

on August 10, 2007 - 8:01am

FOJG is my safehaven. The place where I don't have to worry that I'm talking about Josh too much. Here everyone understands that seeing a rerun of Josh on Ellen still gives me goosebumps and makes me cry. Thank you everyone on FOJG and Grobanites for having such a wonderful and welcoming place for fans of "the voice".

Josh In Manila!

on August 9, 2007 - 5:15pm

I'm so excited that Josh is going to the Philippines! I'm half Filipino and it makes me so happy that he is finally going there! I also got to start the thread announcing that he was going to the Philippines (my first starter thread!). The location that he is playing at is the PICC where big events such as Miss Universe is held and Leah Salonga holds some concerts (she plays most of the Disney Princess's singing voices). Hopefully my family overseas will be able to get tickets! I really want to kick myself though because the last time I was there I didn't know that Josh's first CD had O Holy Night on it (specially for the Philippines!). Ok I'm rambling.. By the way Today's Thursday surprise with Josh at the Hersey Park was AMAZING! Luckily no one was in the house because I started squealing. Well I'm off to Chillax, ONLY 24 DAYS UNTIL L'Ultima Notte in Charlotte NC!!

My Confession/ Obsession

on July 19, 2007 - 8:41pm

Ok, so I don't know if you can post photos on here, but here's my confession/ obsession. I really do think my boyfriend (of over three years) looks like josh, and after the reactions of SO MANY PEOPLE I think others do too. And I know what you are thinking, you are only dating him because of Josh, no it's been a slow transformation into his look a like status. I hope some of these pictures show up so you can judge for yourself!

1st concert, 1st journal!

on July 18, 2007 - 2:05pm

I'm finally a FOJG member! Now to make it official with my first jounal entry!
GREENVILLE ADVENTURES!

Yesterday started out really well, I atually slept the night before the concert, which was a surprise. After dressing in my new concert clothes and running some errands I picked up Craig at his house (my boyfriend). I drove until we got to Gatlinburg where we ate at Ruby Tuesdays. Then we switched drivers and started on to Greenville. There was some bad traffic, but good radio. It wasn't too hard to find the stadium and we decided to park. Craig and I went to downtown G-Ville to explore, but my shoes were a pain and we had to keep stopping. Trying to find a place to rest we ate a Japanese restaurant. My feet were killing me so bad that we went back to the car to change into flip-flops, and when we reached the garage it started raining BAD! We ended up just sitting in the car for about 45 minutes before heading up to the doors. When we got to the doors it was 6, but they didn't open them til 6:30 so we waited under and awning until it stopped raining. Around 6:20 we stood in line. Here is the funny part, the couple behind us kept saying how Craig looked so much like Josh! They were late opening the doors, but at least we were close to the front of the line. When we got in I found the merchendise table and Craig bought me my birthday present, the Red Awake T-shirt and a Key Chain. We both made our way to the rest rooms and then got a strawberry icee cone. We made our way to the seats, which really weren't that bad. We were one of the first seated and then the couple beside us sat down. I don't know if they really enjoyed the concert, they never clapped at the end of the songs or changed their expression! Ultimately they left. Angelique came out on time, and was great. After her set it was about half an hour before Josh came out (because they had to move the equiptment). But when I heard that heart beating notes of You Are Loved, I started freaking out and so did the rest of Greenville! He sang 2 songs back to back, and talked just a little before his third (Un Dia). I wish he had joked more or given us a longer clapping time, but the show had to move on. I was surprised how early in the concert Lucia did her solo, which ROCKED!!! Too much hard core rock for one hand! Then Josh walked through the crowd, I wasn't close enough to even get near him, but I could see where he was through the entire song. He sang some great numbers, joked a little and did his duet with Angelique. I thought it was funny Angelique had a fan behind her while Josh didn't. They danced and I got it all on film, luckily because my favorite line was during it (one put a hole in the box). Then he walked off stage and I started freaking out thinking it was the end of the concert, but luckily it wasn't. He ended up coming back out and playing the drums and keyboard. He also sang not while I'm around, which was beautiful! The girls in the front row had such a great time! They had so many things to hold up during certain songs like paper hearts and beach balls! You Raise Me Up was the last and the entire stadium was up on their feet! We went to the buses to wait for Josh and everyone starred at Craig thinking, is he related to Josh or something? A couple of people took pictures of us and asked to have their picture taken with Craig. Tim Kurl came out and talked to everyone and I got a really great picture. We were blocking the loading area so they kept telling us to move, and finally around midnight they told us that Josh had already left. Leaving was a nightmare, we kept getting lost in greenville until we finally got in Highway 25. Around 4:30 am we finally got home. Now I'm wearing the shirt and still feeling the bliss of my first Josh Groban Concert!
