Deep Thought...

November is a time to give thanks... With that being said, a big "THANK YOU" goes out to all my friends, my family & the absolutely amazing team of people I have been working with (so far) throughout the year...

And for those of you who don't know...

I am who I am... I am a survivor and probably the only person known to have been in an auto accident (Jan. 2011) involving a 45-50 ton moving vehicle in which I was able to turn my back and walk away (w/ few injuries) silently counting my blessings.

With the support of family & friends, I worked with an amazing team of people that pushed me to move forward... Counting down the months / days in the back of my mind until that road trip to Moline, IL w/ my friend (Taleen) to see Josh in concert for the first time... What a memory!

Weird being back...

Wow... It's weird being back here. But yet at the same time it's a good feeling.
So, what brings me back after such a long hiatus? Hmmm... Probably the fact that I'm looking for a place to call "home"... A place to share my thoughts; a place where I can be me. And as much as I <3 Facebook & Twitter, it's not the same (believe me). ----- Enough said.

So, what's new in my "so-called" life? (Groan) Well, for starters early last Saturday morning (12:30 am) my car was rear-ended by a semi on Hwy US 41 south bound.

One more day...

Phones ringing off the hook; non-stop... For every 1 call there's 3-5 calls on hold. Has it arrived... Yes/No?? Where's my $ and why isn't it here yet? Little to nothing else gets done and it's not just me; it's everyone. What normally would take 5-10 minutes took 60+ minutes to complete on a day to day basis.

This is what my co-workers and I have been dealing w/ since the university was closed on Monday for the holiday. At long last, tomorrow is Friday... I can hardly wait!

Ready or not, here I come...

2.5 weeks into the new year... And I feel great!

On Jan. 3rd, I started participating in 2 health/wellness programs back to back and I'm proud to say I'm down 3 lbs. And needless to say, it hasn't been easy.

Every day, I strength train for 10-20 minutes... Followed by 30-60+ minutes of cardio a minimum of 5 days per week. On top of that, I've been tracking my meals to ensure I stay w/in my calorie range & journal (reflecting on the days activities) daily.

Met up w/ fellow Grobie, Taleen over the weekend for breakfast & a trip to the mall... Had a blast. I was so not anticipating purchasing any clothes, but found some absolutely adorable tops at Coldwater Creek for 70% off -- And of course since I couldn't decide which I liked best, I purchased them all.

Today, I did the unthinkable... I was so wrapped up in the project I was working on I "accidently" stayed late, not knowing it was time to leave until a co-worker asked if I was ready to leave. Talk about embarrassing!!

Consider me crazy...

For the umteenth year in a row, I set yet another New Year's resolution (despite that every December I say otherwise) that will probably be broken by June or July.

For 2010, I started a "new" onine health/wellness program. The program itself is not really "new" per say; because I've been a member of the program for about 1.5 years.

The "new & improved" program consists of a book (plus the regular online activities).

Today is day #5 of my "new" program and things are going great! I met all my daily goals; stayed w/in my calorie range; and even managed to find time in my day to squeeze in 40 minutes of exercise.

Now, if only I can stick w/ the program...
