First week of class almost over..

on June 12, 2008 - 6:24am

Well, the calculus class wasn't too bad for this first week. I think I understood some of it! The Financial management class is going to be good as well. I am so wanting to pull A's in these classes where I can get off to a positive start.

I am still looking for a PT job. I found a few places that just might be of interest to me.

I have decided that I am going to enjoy school and have a great time at it!

Ok, now I have to get ready and go to campus to talk to some people!

Last Night's class... not too bad

on June 10, 2008 - 6:50am

We jumped right into class because we only have 16 class sessions to get all of this stuff in our heads.

I have to go and buy a graphing calculator and some piece of software. We got assigned 5 homework problems.

I have ran into a minor snag with my on-going school project, so I am finding a work around.

Chloe is staying home with me today. It is kinda nice being home with the kids. It is something that I have kinda missed.

Tonight is financial management and I am really looking forward to this class. I am kinda of a bossy person anyway!

Ok, now I have to get back to my studies! These calculus problems don't do themselves!

Chloe quote of the day- "Maisy is awesome!"

On Your Marks, Get Set... LEARN!!!

on June 8, 2008 - 7:53am

Tomorrow I head back to the classroom! I am excited because that means I am getting closing to finishing my degree! I can't wait to get that monkey off my back!

I think I also found a cheesy job- working for Subway. 7.25 an hour. Not bad for that type of work. I will only be working 20-25 hours a week, so I will have time for school and such.

Chloe had a wonderful graduation! She got the honor of holding the flag for the Pledge. She loved every minute of it. Now she thinks that it is time for her to go to kindergarten tomorrow! NOT!!

My son Braden is also getting excited about going back to school. He is now getting the chance to pick some of his classes. He wants art classes because of his desire to work for Lego. He has a mentor who works for Lego and she was quite happy about his report card and she sent him a collectors Lego toy.

WOW! I never realized until this moment how much school is dominating our lives. My hubby wants me to hurry up because he gets to go back and get his Masters. I will be happy to send him back to school!

Have fun this week! I am facing 2 extremely 2 classes head on and I am taking them down as well as studying for a CLEP class for the test to be taken on August 23rd.

I will report on class!

Chloe's graduation is tomorrow!

on June 5, 2008 - 7:17pm

Chloe is graduating from pre-k to Kindergarten and she is so excited! I think they have little caps and gowns for them. She has been looking forward to this all week. If I get any good shots, I will definitely post them. MAN! I can't believe that in about 8 weeks, my daughter will be starting kindergarten. Look out world... here comes Chloe!

The Tornados are threatening.
The weather here is getting bad, but at least they cancelled the warnings.

Ok, I went ahead and just resigned from work today. They were in shock and disbelief, but they know how important school is to me.

Tomorrow is the early farmers market and I am going to go and see if they have any fresh eggplant so I can make eggplant lasagne and put it into the freezer for individual portions.

I have already done that for my soups and stews. I have about 60 serving of soup/stews already in the freeze.

If I can't find the eggplant, I have several casseroles that I can make and put in the freeze. I am trying to get my family away from so much packaged food and more natural stuff. Chloe and I love going to the farmers markets!

Until next time!

I have decided...

on June 3, 2008 - 7:48pm

That Friday is going to be my last day at my job.

I made the decision last week, but now I feel is a good time to leave because my classes start on Monday and I want to make sure that I am focused on them.

I will probably start to look for a part-time job here in a couple of weeks...like at Starbucks.

But overall, it is a good decision for me to focus on my education and get it over with!

Life is calm at the moment!
