Sunshine...and oh my gosh Federer!

on April 3, 2009 - 11:47am

Yay for sun!!! The weather is still cold, but at least it isn't gray and cloudy anymore. It's not that mind the rain really. I happen to love living here in the Pac. Northwest. I like rain.

Last night I rented the movie Happy-Go-Lucky and it was really cute. It's rather simple and sweet. It's about this woman who is just really positive and nice. At times I wondered if maybe the character was a little mental, but she's just as the title says I guess.

Okay, right now the Sony Ericcson Open is going on in Florida and Djokavic and Federer are playing, I think it's the semis. From what I hear Djokavic wasn't doing so great in the first set but now he's come back and Federer is just playing like crap and he's making all kinds of errors. A little while ago he actually slammed his racket down in frustration and it cracked in half!!! Federer nevery does that. He's the most calm and collected player, hardly ever shows emotion on the court. The commentators are all saying he's never played worse. It's not like it's a grand slam tournament though. Everyone has their bad's just Federer is pissed, probably because he's losing to Djokavic and they don't get along very well.

I don't know, we'll see what happens.

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Stop Flying Into Windows

on March 27, 2009 - 3:21pm

I've just spent a number of hours browsing the journal entries here. I've added some new people as friends, and I feel like I'm a little more caught up. I've been neglecting fojg lately, haven't even gotten to the boards in about a week.

So, it sounds like Josh isn't dating Katy Perry, that's cool. My brother just downloaded her album for me (shhh! he didn't exactly do it legally). My brother has given me a lot of crap for not having a macbook, and I do sort of regret not buying one. Oh well. I have a laptop, I'm content.

I'm in this exhausted state at the moment. I just can't think straight.

I called my employers this morning to see what time they wanted me to come over to work and they gave me some sad news. The sister of a friend of theirs died suddenly this morning. She was either in her early thirties or younger, and they don't know if she killed herself or if she died from complications of her recovery from anorexia. Either way it's tragic. My heart goes out to their family :( I wish everyone could see themselves as beautiful just as they are. We all have trouble accepting that at times. The world needs more love.

So, now I don't have to work on account of this very sad incident. I'm trying to organize all the piles of stuff I have lying around. It's such a process!

I have so much to write but I don't like writing too much at once. I'm sitting in the dinning room, and out the window we have two suet feeders and the birds have flown into the window about 5 times already. Everyone have a good weekend!

Shirley, you were right! I did enjoy Sabrina. I'd seen the remake with Harrison Ford and Julia Ormond, and it's one of my favorites. Seeing the original I was happy that the two films stayed so close in similarities. Audrey Hepburn is always gorgeous. Lol, definietly worth the $2 admission :)

Edit: ha ha, if only Nessa. If only...

I worked a longer day than usual today...12 hours. The kids were really good, though Sam was tired the entire day and was very low on energy. We were out and about and he kept saying he wanted to go home. He finally fell asleep on the couch around 5:30, and when I tried to wake him for dinner he was still exhausted, so I ended up putting him to bed and he hadn't woken up when his mom got home at quater to 9. His birthday is tomorrow, he's going to be 5!

I just finished watching Guys and Dolls on dvd with my mom, and seeing the movie makes me realize even more just how superb the play was. For a high school production it was amazing, and so much better than the film even!! Though, I think in general it probably makes a much better live production. IT WAS WONDERFUL. I can't say it enough! I'm so happy for my brother! I still can't get over how well he sang!!! Closing night is always a little bittersweet. I passed one of the girls in the hall after it was over and she was crying. I stayed for a while afterward watching them gather costumes and take down sets. The stage was littered with cast members, but the lights were off. I felt sad for them, it's always tough to get to the end. Taking part in something like a play is so memorable. You all bond, sometimes you make new friends, and you're all there to add something to make the play what it is. It made me wish I'd done drama in high school. But when I was there the drama department sucked. Now they have a great director and the people are so talented. I can't wait to see what they perform next year!Tomorrow I'm going to see "Sabrina" I'm excited...haven't seen the original before.

I'm really excited to see the play tonight. This will be the final performance and I talked to a few of the people I work for who were hoping to go, unfortunately all the tickets have been sold. It's a shame the auditorium is so small, because the school could be making a lot more money.

My sister has been home all week for break, but I only saw her for the first time yesterday. We're both busy.

Last Sunday it snowed here which was a total surprise. I had to work, and I was really disappointed when I woke up, but I made it to work okay. Here in the northwest we're not used to a lot of snow, so our tolerance this winter has been pretty low for most people. I think everyone is ready for Spring! First day of Spring was yesterday, correct? So that means no more snow til next Winter, I hoope.

My dad is in Arizona for a while. I can't remember if it's trip for business or if it's a little vacation. He is there with friends and they're going to watch the Mariners at spring training, lucky.

I HAVE THE DAY OFF!! Yay! I feel so behind with everyone though, and I'm going to use this day to catch up. I haven't been home in about 3 days which is terrible. I've been at my parents' house. I should finish laundry, and get things organized as usual today.

My dog is going to be 10 next month, and it's finally hit me, he's getting old :( He's still as energetic as ever, but hitting the big decade mark is a big milestone for a dog. Every year we bake him a cake and let him eat a few bites...we love our puppy!!!

I must go and get to work on all of my tasks I've been procrastinating about!!!

Have a good day everyone :)
