Josh's New Music in the Works

on March 13, 2010 - 11:25pm

I think we are all in for a great surprise and will be in awe when we hear Josh's new album. I listened to his last blog of sorts with the percussion part of a new song. Other than the snare drum, I could not pull myself away and was late for work the other morning. He is so talented, intelligent, funny and humble. Quite a mixed bag!

We are all so blessed to have this site to express our gratitude to Josh for sharing his talents with those of us who can't get enough of his music and voice. Speaking of which, it is time for bed and time to listen to Josh.

Goodnight all.

"I WISH I WOULD HAVE"

on March 7, 2010 - 5:32pm

I have tried to live most of my life in a way where I would never have to look back and be sorry for what I failed to do. I realized the other day that I have a long list of people that I need to connect with and relationships to rekindle. One of the most important women in my life, my former neighbor, passed away on March 4th at age 87. I loved her so much and my heart is absolutely broken. After I got married and moved from home, 20 minutes away, I didn't visit with her very often. I was too involved in my own little world. For the past four years, she has been in a nursing home which is 5 minutes from where I work. Do you know that I have seen her maybe 10 times during that period of time. Now I am saying "I wish I would have" seen her more. I missed out on quality time with her.

I said my goodbyes to her tonight, again told her I loved her and blew her a kiss. In time, I will shed fewer tears, but will always say, "I wish I would have".

Time for the Oscars..............

Time For a Break

on March 4, 2010 - 8:11pm

It has been a tough week thus far. One of my childhood friends lost her stepfather last weekend. He was also the best man at the parents wedding. So, my dad and I went on a funeral date on Wednesday. My friend Beth introduced me to her son, "This is my old friend". Then, my old neighbor said, "You are 58 or 59 aren't you?" "Noooo" I said. Then when my dad and I were in the 'food line' after the funeral mass, a older man looked at us and said, "I am just being nosy, but is that woman behind you your wife? You never know, some men marry younger women now." "NOOOO" is said. "I am his DAUGHTER".....

On Monday, one of my friends from work decided that her father had been suffering long enough and since nothing more could be done for him, they took him off the ventilator and he died. Her mother died 3 months ago almost to the day. So sad. She is expecting her second baby next month. Her 5 year old daughter said, "But grandpa promised he would go fishing with me. Who is going to take me now?"

GREAT DAY AT THE FARM

on February 20, 2010 - 7:42pm

I took my 2 year old grandson to my friend's hobby farm. It is lambing time and they have 42 lambs, all black and adorable. We fed the sheep hay, went in the chicken coop, chased chickens and picked some eggs. A ride on the tractor was next and he helped drive it. Then it was time to go inside for fresh cookies and juice. The baby played for a while and then it was time to go home. But first he had to help bring hay to the sheep again, threw a few pieces with a pitchfork he found, petted the day and a half old lamb who was just nursing for the first time because his mama was sick when he was just born. It was pretty exciting.

The little guy slept all the way home and slept another 3 1/2 hours in bed.

We had so much fun, I can't wait to take him back when it is maple syrup time and when the chicks arrive.
