So excited for you too Josh!

on January 2, 2013 - 9:37pm

Hope you are feeling all better now. This album is going to rock! It's going to be just awesome! Love the songs you chose and I'm sure the originals will sound fantastic too!!!

Work mode right now. Hugs, stay warm and cozy. :)

Mmmmm there is nothing like chocolate that tastes so yummy it makes you happy. What rare moment of cynical grumblings from exposure to not-so-very-good-energies? No wonder it is called Kinder Joy. A kind dose of joy in every sweet bite of yumminess. I'm feeling a tagline on this one.... #sillyhappygrin
Thank you work colleague who randomly brings chocolate to work and leaves them around in even more random places so other people can find and eat them. :)

Brave

on December 16, 2012 - 1:51am

Just spent a day listening to this song. Based on my estimation, it is a verifiable hit. Do what you do in the music biz to get it out to as many listeners as possible, sit back and watch it climb the charts. Who said a voice with classical gravitas can't define the mainstream AND deliver a positive transformative message in the process? You've just crossed the threshold to another level of versatility, showing the world that you CAN do it all, and raise the bar for all in the process. Congratulations Josh!!!

Falling Slowly

on December 5, 2012 - 10:35am

Falling Slowly (listening to other versions), like many of the other songs you sing, seems to have multiple layers of meaning. It starts out with romantic undertones, but then it's like the choir of angels starts coming through and the apocalyptic themes begin to emerge. Interestingly, it speaks to my activist spirit, which btw I have left dormant for a while since I decided to focus on the govt end of public service.

random

on November 27, 2012 - 6:52pm

In the past year or so, I think I have satisfied every single food craving so completely and comprehensively that I am now sitting here thinking, I do not even know where to begin to think about what food to eat. Not even sour gummy candy. Wait- there's one-- chocolate. With all the intense brainwork I've been doing of late, I've been on a constant sugar hunt to feed my mind with an endless supply of glucose-- the simple sugar form of it that I believe most quickly and instantly crosses the membrane barrier into the brain.Chocolate seems to have a high concentration of simple sugars. Don't make me have to verify or confirm this through research please-- I've done an intense amount of it today and yesterday.

Thanksgiving Week

on November 20, 2012 - 5:45pm

This is a time for giving thanks. I'm thankful for these times of the year that remind us to consolidate and take stock of all that is good and positive in our lives.

I love that I can be making noodles while my mind's in another world making stories.

Awesome bluegrass. They're so laid back about it too-- they're like, yeah, we can do this in our sleep. Thanks for sharing!

If I'm not writing much it's because my mind is in deep thinking work mode.

Haha very clever Josh. One of my favorite political strategies. When you know you're stretching it, go propaganda on the public. Looks aside, I'm sure it's quite yummy. Thanksgiving leftovers always are!
