A Josh-A-Thon

on November 10, 2011 - 8:52pm

What with my birthday coming up, I decided that instead of going into mourning (which, at my age, by rights I should be doing), I would celebrate with some of my Grobanite friends by having an evening watching both Ally McBeal episodes where Josh played Malcom Wyatt, then finish it off with the PBS "Soundstage Presents Josh Groban in New York City" DVD. And we are having a fabulous pot-luck too, so we can munch while we watch. Nothing like feeding your body and feeding your soul at the same time, I think! Anyway, that's my upcoming Josh-A-Thon, as I'm calling it.

**You Know You're a Grobanite When: you buy two entire seasons of Ally McBeal just so you can watch two specific episodes with Josh in them! ;)

Is there a Board problem?

on September 26, 2011 - 8:52pm

Hey, is there a problem with the Board link today? I cannot get to them, although I am already signed in, when I click on the "Boards" link, it requires another sign in....and then it says my sign in or password is incorrect. Very frustrating! Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

Crazy Stupid Me

on July 30, 2011 - 10:51am

I've decided to do a double-header today. I'm going to see 'Cowboys and Aliens' then segue right into 'Crazy, Stupid, Love'. The former is more my kind of fim - fantasy/action. I'm not a fan of most of the so-called comedies that come out in the cinema these days. However, I'm going to see 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' for the sole reason that Josh is in it, and from the interview in GQ I think he'll be great. I suspect a lot of Grobanites will be doing the same, excited to see his first 'real' movie performance. So yeah, Josh, no pressure! ;)

War At Home on the 4th

on July 6, 2011 - 8:32am

Josh on 'A Capitol Fourth' singing 'War At Home': what a touching tribute to the men and women who are still fighting for their lives in some way now that they are back on home soil. And what a wonderful surprise that he sang one of my favorite songs, 'Smile'! That one still carries me through some of my toughest times. Thanks Josh, wherever you are!

The Tour & Such

on June 2, 2011 - 10:39am

I've read some of the tidbits from various media reports about the first few concerts in Josh's tour, and it's been getting fabulous reviews (and these reviews are not from Grobanites!) It has a more casual, intimate feel, what with the staging and lighting and Josh's banter with the audience, which is all for the good I think. I'm not one for big crowds. They make me claustrophobic, so I've got a good feeling about the concert I'm going to see. Finally, my first JG concert! Of course the irony is that due to my tinnitus problem I'm going to have to wear ear plug sound filters, and maybe even earmuffs over those, to tone down the volume. But I am still going to have myself a grand time just being there and seeing him perform!
