Black Friday

So here is an interesting question. Yesterday we pondered where Black Friday came from. Truth is that up until the day before Thanksgiving most retailers are in the RED meaning a loss. The day after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday because it pulls a profit and takes these businesses out of the Red for the entire year. Little triva for you.
I had a great Thanksgiving and for the first time since my grandfather's 90th birthday all 3 of us siblings were together with our families. (the funeral didn't count because some just came and had to get back to college, no bonding time there). My sister has never been to my brother's house for a holiday.
This morning I called my sister at 6:45 (she went shopping at 4 with the girls) and I was glad to hear she was just walking into Menards. I asked her if they had 2 bikes left if she could pick them up for me for the kids. Nice bikes for $28.88. The best part is I didn't have to go and fight the crowd.
On the down note today. I may have lost my Old Navy job. My daughter woke up with a really bad sore throat so she came in and tested positive for strep AGAIN. This is 2 times in a month, 4 times since april. She now has an appointment with ENT for a consult to have tonsills and adenoids removed. I had to call in because I couldn't send her to my parents house with strep and my dad's multiple health issues. I guess everything happens for a reason and she is far more important than some minimum wage job.
Sounds like the ice cream is waiting to be scooped. Have a happy and safe one.

Oh, and BTW Josh. You should never do that to your mother, that freaks all moms out!!
