Nov. 10 was my birthday. Having your new album released a few days after my birthday is one of the most wonderful gifts I received on my birthday. I got the job as the sole Grobanite at the Calabasas B&N of putting together the corrugated display for today. You are a very difficult man to put together, I'll have you know!
Our store had no problems with the Monday release date, though that might have had more to do with me constantly reminding people in my excitement all last week, than the strict on sale date.
I bought our exclusive edition (of course) as soon as we opened, unfortunately that was at 9am and I didn't get to listen to it until I got off work at 5pm.
But OMG was it ever worth the long wait! Without a doubt this album is amazing and beautiful and it has so much of your heart and soul in it. I haven't felt so many things emotionally when listening to an album but I ran the gauntlet of them listening to your album.
The only way I can think to describe it is effulgent.
Thanks for thanking us on the vlog. We appreciate a lot of the songs getting more up close and personal with who you are, etc. We love hearing your voice if it's in a song you've co-written, or a song already written that you are interpreting. Josh, thank you soooooo very, very much for taking the time to blog us. It makes me feel better when I know I can't make it to one of your wonderful, small, intimate shows. I am so excited about the new album. And from what I've heard already, I don't really need to hear the rest - I already know it's absolutely perfectly wonderful, marvelous, fantastic since what you do always is. Hopefully I'll get my package soon - a little late in ordering.
Glad for the great press - so deserved. Please when you do the tours, try to keep them intimate somehow. Big is not always beautiful except of course for dollars and cents. Well, my friend, it is soooo wonderful that THE DAY is finally here. My how fast time goes when looking back. You've come a long way and have grown so much since the world children's day concert way back when. You've lost a super fan since then and gained so many others...how very proud all of us are of you!
