Illuminations is absolutely breathtaking! I don't know any other way to express that addictive draw to the entire thing. it has only been three days since its arrival on my doorstep and every day i have fallen in love with a different song. it has been worth every moment of impatient craving of a new cd and i cannot wait to see what you do on tour. thank you so incredibly much for writing so much of the music yourself. in your previous albums its been funny to notice that my ears favorites were the ones you penned, and now there are so many songs on Illuminations by you. I know how much work and time and tears it takes to create art and it is such a blessing to hear the world from your point of view. I am absolutely awestruck. (and so is my five year old brother who watched GMA with me. you now have an additional childs vote in driving and dinner cooking choices). and now the album is out, and hopefully that means breathing time although it usually doesn't. take a deep breath and drink a cup of tea. we love you and cannot wait to see you on tour =) <3

I have been playing Illuminations over and over. I think what I will remember from winter this year is zipping up my coat and increasing the volume on these songs while I set out across central park on walk to work. Bells of New York City is beautiful. I grew up in LA, I love LA, but the silent snow filled streets and not so silent bells of this city call me to stay too.
Really into Higher Window, Hidden Away. Although I think If I Walk Away has to be my favorite. those words lead me to prayer every time. Beautiful album all around, I've been telling everyone how great it is!
First off, I need to say that this is the first album to come out since I've been a fan and I'm very excited. I've already heard the album on Facebook and I love it. Coming from another musician, this album is the best I've ever heard, and it sets a standard for me. Thank you Josh for being a role model! :D

It's true! THANK YOU JOSH FOR THE HEADS UP! I went into a local store and the clerk said the release date is tomorrow. I said "No, it's today, Josh himself told me!" The clerk was like "Really?" I told him to check the box behind the counter and he assured me it wouldn't be in there. I assured him it WOULD BE! He started digging and sure enough was suprised......hmmmmm.....I told him "I wouldn't lie about these things!!!" Then he said I wouldn't be able to purchase it if it wasn't in "the system".....WHATEVER!!!! Anyway, they scanned through just fine and I'm home tucked away with my Illuminations CD :) LIFE IS GOOD! LOVE YOU JOSH!
Wow, listening to this you kinda don't sound too excited!!! I think you are exhausted and I don't blame you. I haven't gotten through the whole album yet because I don't want to rush the experience. Considering you only release one every 5 years (:() this one must last quite a long time LOL You have such great taste in music I just know each one will be better than the last and so on..I think you've got much to give but don't delay the process of MORE!!
