My name is Sarah Bordeau I am 14. I know this might sound insane but next year during the weekend of June 27 through June 30th is my parents 20th Anniversary. My mother loves your voice and your songs. I was hoping with all my heart that you would be able to come to their party. I know i might sound crazy to you. If you dont want to come I will understand. If not it is ok i completely understand. Their party is a secret and I have been trying to plan it early. I don't know if you will have a concert or not. I live in Easton, PA. If you are able to come it would me the world to my mother and I. If you want to talk about it please email me at email@example.com. Sir I thank You so much for Reading this. You will certainly warm my heart to know that you read this. I Thank You with all of my heart. Again I know i sound crazy, but Mr. Groban you are an amazing singer and an amazing person. Thank You So Very Much! :)
Hi, Josh! Too often we go to concerts expecting the headliner to sound "less than stellar" compared to today's bells and whistles when records are made. YOU, however, were quite the contrary. My husband and I can't thank you enough for giving it your ALL, with such ease (it appears that way!), that we are still floating high on your high notes 2 hours later! You are an amazing talent and I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to witness your brilliance! OK, don't let it go TOO much to your head -- we love you just the way you are! :)
Josh I have been in your concert in Toronto and I am amazed until now. Perfect!!!! Your voice is incredible, your band is awesome and beautiful songs ALWAYS. I would like to suggest you a song, It is called Ton Refrain, it is from a canadian singer from Montreal called Mathieu Provençal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loj596lb3_g
I wish you a lot of sucess, you are the best!
I have to tell you..Your an incredible musician..Your voice is sensational!! My husband of nearly 22 yrs passed away Jan 2012. I played during his funeral A Breath Away!! Wasn't a dry eye in the chapel!! I love every piece of music you sing!!! I am so looking forward to seeing your performance Nov 13,2013 in Dallas,Tx!! I will be 4 rows from the stage!!! Thanks for the magnificent voice & music!!! Your truly amazing!!!!
Hope you are well ! Thank you for coming to Toronto again. 2 years ago I was at the Air Canada Centre. Your performance was superb. You & your band were incredible. On the 25th Oct you were here again. This time around I was very disappointed. I was sitting in section 114 row 28(most top). The sound sistem was really bad. When the volume went up, the sound just got dispersed into a screeching annoying sound. It was hard to enjoy the concert. On top of that you weren't able to hit the high notes & your voice was pitchy many times. You look & sound like you were having a cold. My heart sank because you are my favourite artiste & I want to see you in your best. All said I did enjoy many numbers you sang that night. The song selection & collaboration with other artistes were very good. Hope you will come soon but with an improved performance next time. Thank you & take good care !
I loved your concert in Grand Rapids where I grew up but I wanted you to know that I am the "Mary Thomson in section120, row E, seat 14" who asked the question about your path to Interlochen Music Camp, not the Polish lady in the red dress on the opposite side of the arena. Thanks for the answer about arts education. I retired from school counseling after 33 years. Compliments to all of your musicians!
My wife and I are big fans of your music and as a birthday gift for her I bought tickets for next week concert, but I have a special request if it is possible to dedicate to her (Mariela is her name) the song "Si Volvieras a Mi" from the Closer album since it is her favourite song and Oct 23 is her birthday.
I truly hope you read this and can sing that song it will mean a lot for us, our setas are Section 106/Row 22
Thanks for sharing so interesting article with us. I agree with your idea completely. I am looking forward to another great article from you.
Well Josh, the gap is closing and the time is getting closer...for your concert at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids!!! Due to my financial situation I was afraid I wouldn't be able to attend your concert, however, my AMAZING son pulled through and bought us tickets to see you! I am VERY excited about the "Concert in the Round" and all the great music and pure fun in store. I'll be on Floor 1, Row R (yes, floor seats - can you believe it???) I can't wait - looking forward to another amazing concert!
I get so sad seeing all about "In the Round" great experiences because you did not include the "southern states" in your tour. I am such a huge fan and was so looking forward to your tour! I live in VA and the last tour you came to Norfolk, VA and it was great!!!!! I have followed you on twitter ever since but have not joined twitter to make comments there. I thought for sure you were going to announce more dates but it does not look like it. Still love you though!!!
It's very apparent that you receive enormous amounts of comments on this website so I'm not sure that you will even see this...but here's hoping. I wanted to let you know about a co-worker of mine who is truly an amazing woman, not to mention a huge fan of yours. She is a woman who loves people and has proven that not only in her profession as a nurse but also as a wife, mother and grandmother. This woman has a heart bigger than anyone I know. She has opened her home to complete strangers, not just providing shelter and food but also genuine care. She's a woman who sees the good in all mankind no matter what their current circumstances may be. And she is a woman who has faced challenges...many that I hope to never face in my lifetime. Around ten and half years ago her husband John suffered a massive stroke making him unable to walk. She took care of him for a little over ten years until he passed away earlier this spring. She is one of your biggest fans in fact they had two of your songs sung at her husbands funeral. She will be attending your concert tomorrow and if there is any possible way for you to dedicate the song You're Still You to her I know it would make her night. Her name is Dorothy Sullivan and like I said....she is one amazing woman!
P.s. I even made an account on your blog so I hope that shows just how serious I am ;)
My name is Ryan And I am 4_EllenD's(or something spelled like that haha, you've retweeted her like twice I believe :) younger brother and what happened is my older brother promised to take her to your concert this weekend in Salt Lake. He then says he is taking his Girlfriend:/ My sister is sadly pretty torn up about it, man if you could help out that would be so sweet! Thanks again Josh your awesome fan
Come please your Brazilian fans with your amazing voice and talent! Looking forward to watching you make us cry tears of joy. You can be sure you'll make lots of dreams come true. :) We love you! God bless you!
You are an inspiration to a lot of people with your voice and music. At these times when so many have to tie their belts, your voice is full of hope and pleasure, your songs lifts the spirit of all your fans. - As I could be your Mum, my advice is to look after yourself and your vocal cords, otherwise I will come and pull your ears. Good luck with your life and God bless. xxx ( you can cash in these kisses later)
Your in my prayers I am a cancer survivor both of breast & Malignant Melanoma, I pray this note finds you doing well. I pray Josh gets your message and I know if he could he will make a way he seems like that type of person for his fans. Have a great day and safe health...
I have had a really bad year. Currently I am battling breast cancer. I had my first surgery the day after your Colorado concert in July. Great concert. I have since had by second surgery. They are hopeful they got it all. I am going to be undergoing radiation soon. My daughters and I bought tickets to your in the round concert in Kansas City in October before I was diagnosed with this cancer. My oncologist has agreed to let me go to the concert and let me skip two treatments. The thing is I am really afraid to fly, that is the only way I will be able to make it. So I am trying to be brave. So I was wondering if it would be possible to meet you or have a hug at the concert. Our seats are Section FLR9 Row: 12 Seat 1-4.
I am actually not commenting your video. I just wanted to write to you and since I am neither a fan nor a member of Twitter or Facebook I am trying to do it this way.
I've become your fan with your Illuminations album (which I absolutely prefer over all the others, I must honestly say).
I looked at some of your youtube videos and I was surprised to find out that you are a MUSE Fan. I've been a MUSE fan for years and I actually had an idea:
You played in Musicals like CHESS and THE FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Why not work together with the Band MUSE and make a Musical out of their Album "The Resistance" which is based (as you might already know) on the Novel 1984 by Orson Wells. The story is there, the Music is there and the topic is (if you think of "PRISM") a very current one at the moment.
let me know what you're thinking about my idea.
...hear me please .. hear my music... I'm italian ... I need to know .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNM_TBbAGFM
Beso y abrazo fuerte! "como decía Celia cruz..."my inglish is not very good loking" i hope to read this post, kises. Mariela.
Great news! The tour sounds amazing
ever since i heard your voice , it was like an angel fallen from the sky josh, hope you can visit my party costume shop http://www.partylovers.com.au and passed by my Goolka
I admire the way that you support your sister. I don´t know if Josh Groban could give your sister what you wanted, but I feel that she would be very happy to know the kind of sister she has to ask an special favour only for giving her a moment of happiness from her favourite singer.
That´s what sister are for...
My best wishes for you and your sister.
Mimi from Peru
Hi, Josh! My name is Karina. I'm from Ukraine. Not so long ago I was acquainted with Your works, and, to tell You the truth, I was shocked!!! You are VERY talented !!!!! Your voice is so pure and beautiful! And Your songs helped me a lot!!! It is true!!! I love Your songs and what You do. I'm a singer, but I haven't finished any Art School, and I'm sorry for that.... I'm only a self-taught singer. I sing Your songs every day!
Sometimes I write songs ( I mean text ). I've already wrote some in my native language, and.... Listening to Your songs, I was greatly impressed and I wrote the first my English song and I want to present it to You. I'm not sure that You'll read my "letter", but never the less) I hope, You'll read it. I want to show You my work and to hear some words about it, even if You won't like it. I'll accept all the critics from You. Please write me, if You interested in it. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org
THANK YOU A LOT !!!!!
I couldn´t tell this before because of ruining the surprise to my sister.
Three months ago my cousin , who lives in Australia (Melbourne), asked me what could be the best gift for my sister and I answered “anything from Josh Groban would be the best” I said to her the date and place of his concert in Australia and then , well. She forgot alL!!!
I must say that she doesn’t like Josh Groban´s music and she didn´t buy a ticket for his concert but when she and some friends were coming back home , she passed by the Theatre and she remembered who was singing that day.
She begged to the security guard ( the concert was going to finish ) and She could buy a T- shirt, two cds and three magnets (one of them is on my fridge now) . Of course, fifteen days ago , my sister received all her presents and the call of my cousin , who told her all about it . She was very happy.:P
As I said Anything from Josh Groban was for her the best present.
My Brother who lives in Chicago is going to go to Josh Groban´s concert there and I am waiting for the things my sister is going to ask him . lol
Good luck at Hollywood bowl but I don´t really think you need it.
Josh, I hope this eventually reaches you. I don't know anything about music but I love yours and that of Sarah Brightman and Katherine Jenkins. Just a gut feeling about Katherine Jenkins, whatever you have to do, find a way to perform with her, even one classic duet. Can't explain just have a good feeling...Jim deVault, Houston, Texas.
I like squares better, can you change the name to "On the Corner?" You could cover "Standing on the Corner" from the Broadway musical, "The Most Happy Fella." (1956)
Josh, You might never read this but I'll give it a try anyway. My sister Noelle and I have gone to see you in Ireland twice and this year I bought tickets for the two of us for her Birthday. However she has just been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and is having a biopsy at the weekend so it doesn't look good for your concert. If on Sunday you could give her a mention and dedicate a song her it would make her day! If a miracle happens and she makes it, it would be even more special! xx
Can't wait to meet Josh Groban!
Hello, Josh and your best band ever! I'm sooo looking forward to the concert at Chastain with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on August 18th. I really look forward to hearing you sing some show tunes. I love hearing you sing "Not While I'm Around." It seems so far away, because as I write this, I'm contedmplating undergoing laser treatments for this Trigeminal Neuralgia which I hope will finally allow me to get off these pain meds. Your song "Brave" couldn't be more encouraging, and yet, I can't help wondering if it's really going to work. And there's the financial burden, because it's not covered by insurance, and I have to pay for someone to go with me, because it's just too expensive to go it alone. Still, I so hope I can get my life back, because I enjoy singing, and it's so hard to do when you're blindsided, (no pun intended), by deep, electric nerve pain. Your music, your wonderful sense of humor and your brightness and good cheer instill in me the willpower to keep going. Please pray, (and that goes for anyone who feels inspired), that these laser treatments will allow me to get off my meds, so I can fully live and enjoy sharing this life with others again. One quick thought: I know you use those long flights and rides to "do the laundry", i.e. work on ideas, but I wonder if that might be a time to vlog? I love and really miss traveling, and I love it when I get to listen to or read about travel experiences. There's something so neat about just hearing about the sights and sounds of the many places you visit. Rick Steves, for instances, loves to visit the local hangouts wherever he travels. Have you stayed at an inn or hotel you'd recommend to anyone? I never thought I'd have to go to Myrtle Beach for medical laser treatments, and I haven't had a vacation since 1996! Hahaha. Also, if anyone else suffers through TN pain or for curiosity's sake lasermedcenter.com is how I found out about this treatment. Again, Josh, thank you for all you do. You bring so much joy and light to this world, and we always love sharing your music with others, so they can dance with life, too. ,
I totally agree with "Lovinlifesjourneys" when she asks that you come to Italy, Josh! I am a Canadian living in Italy and would so much like you to put Italy on a tour some day. You have so many fans in Italy; a voice that is parallel to none in Italy so you "will be loved, loved, loved!" I had already made plans to be in Canada in August when you announced the "In the Round" tour--I am devastated because you will be in Canada in October...I missed out by only 2 months...cannot change my plans...what bad luck!
If you add a show, how amazing it would be if you came to Florence, Italy! I have shared your music with Italians here who say it is perfect. You would love it here and Italy would love you to come. Me too! The American living here. :)
Good to have such wonderful news from you. :)
First , We understand your lack of time to be in contact at the blog.
Your schedule is extra super duper busy and it´s very difficult to have time to record a message.
Your performance at the SAP Arena in Germany was absolutely GREAT!!! (I loved the drummers part :P) , I think the emotion of standing on that stage would be fantastic, not only for you but the public and fans also .
Apart from that , I would like to say that "Brave" is a song which may show the feelings of a bullying victim , a boxer before a match or whoever who needs to face with a problem in his life , even in some cases, with a normal day of his life.
We are in Contact.
Greetings from Peru,
Josh, you're so funny. I'd love to see you on stage one day! anyway those who will go....Enjoy! I'm pretty sure it'll be quite an experience!!! :)
Hello Josh and fellow fans. Josh, so excited that you will be starting your In the Round tour in our little city. I would like to welcome you and even though you will be here on a Wednesday night, I know we will give you a decent "tourn-out". Can't wait! I have to tell you that your music has become my cure for dealing with road rage maniacs - I just let them cut me off - who cares with such beautiful background music! See how many ways you can change people's lives? Thanks so much for making mine more peaceful!!
Great to get a new vlog from you. It's been a while but you are forgiven. I can see that you are really excited about "In The Round". I know it will be awesome for both you and your fans. I really hope that you bring it to Sweden when the time is right. Only 2 more weeks to go before your concert in Stockholm. I'm so excited about it! I feel like a little child looking forward to all the gifts on christmas. And you know what...I would be satisfied just by looking at your butt... ;-)
I have wanted nothing more than to be able to come to one of your concerts all these years and was super excited to see that you are going to be making a stop in Missouri (praying I can convince my fiance to do it for me rather than the honeymoon that was planned)!
I'm not sure you will ever see this, but I have been following your music since I was a teenager and it has been a comfort for me through some tough times. I was unable to take my scholarship for music performance that I had worked so hard for because I was sent to a hospital to treat anorexia. Unfortunately, the monster of a disease took my dreams of music as a career away, I couldn't break away for some reason. On some of my hardest nights I would sit in my room and listen to your CDs and remember how much I loved music and I didn't need a school to love it or practice.
Finally recovered only to be diagnosed with a disease known as gastroparesis...basically I depend on a feeding tube and central line to stay alive. And, again when I'm stuck in the hospital away from my baby and everything I love I still watch youtube videos and listen to your music. Thank you for putting out such quality music, it often pulls me through on the days I don't want to fight anymore.
I know this tour is going to be amazing and I'm not going to stop praying that I can find a way there...a night to maybe forget the hospital and the surgeries and just go back to the music which has always been my heart. I wish you all the luck in the world and I hope you know that your music makes a difference in people's lives, it has helped me get through some of the darkest days of my life. Sorry for oversharing if you ever see this. God Bless-Andrea
That comment is so sweet...such great fans, Josh.
Great to hear about all the wonderful time you, guys, had in Australia and New Zealand. Must have been a bit exhausting, but these beautiful countries sure did charge you up with new energy. It shows in the tingling enthusiasm with which Josh is speaking about further touring and trying this new In the Round series. Personally I've never experienced anything like this 360 degree performance, neither a theatrical, nor a concert event. It's something yet unheard of in our country. But I'll definitely go to one when I get a chance! So, enjoy this little break, guys, and good luck with the rest of the tour!
Please, take care of yourself and have a great tour!
Kisses for you and Sweeney.
I just bought my tickets for the Boston show! I cannot wait to to see you live in concert. The in "round" concept sounds awesome!
The real question is: Where have YOU been all MY life?! lol :) Enjoyed the Vlog, thanks for taking the time to make it. I appreciate how much you share. I am happy for you that you are home with Sweeney for a bit and hope you can get some relaxing in....your schedule is amazingly ambitious! Hope you can stay content and healthy. When the "high" of your tour is over in the fall and it is time to crash; perhaps you would consider reaching out to make a new friend (me). You will have to be Brave and be the one to reach out as this is the only way I know to reach out to you. Lasting, true friendships are so vital and life sustaining. I think I understand that it is not always easy to be you....you could expect total confidentiality, privacy and respect. Think about it, you can never have too many friends! See you at Ravinia and the United Center. Love you and your music lots!
Thank you for posting this:D!! It is always Wonderful to hear what you are doing; your Humor is always infectious:D. Thanks for: A.) brightening up my Day :D. B) Being the most Wonderful Person that You Are :D.
You are absolutely adorable! I got my tickets today for the Dallas show, and I've been on cloud nine all day!! I'm excited to be on the 5th row!! Thanks for coming to Texas!
Thanks for the vlog & explaining the in the round concept. I got my ticket today & I am super excited to go! Thanks for coming to FL! Can't wait!!
Looking forward to the Chicago concert! Wish I could have gotten tickets to Ravinia, but it was sold out. Thanks to Josh for the Vlog update!
