Sometimes I wonder why Murphy's Law constantly whaps me in the face.Is it because I need challenges? Take this morning for example. We had a snowstorm last night - no bid deal because I am not a stranger to them. I was up early - 6A, took a shower, got ready for work, checked the computer for school closings and found nothing. Called my friend to find out if school was closed - yes it was. Wanted cereal for breakfast. No milk. That's okay, not the first time. Looked at the clock and it was about 7:50A. I need to be at work at 8A, which is 15 minutes away on good roads. Got outside and my little Toyota Echo was covered with snow. Swept it off with my arm, no boots or gloves. Don't ask. Needed gas so lines would not freeze. Plows had not been out yet. Got to the gas station and noticed I had a flat tire. No air pump at the station. Went down the highway to another gas station, got gas, put air in my tire and air up my dress-very cold. Front door of the station had a sign, "go to other door" which was around the building. Once I got to the highway, I noticed the plows had not been out. By this time, it was 8:20A. Traffic was going 30mph. Roads were horrible. Got to work at about 9A. Since I was an hour late and had four reports to type for Court on Friday, I had to work through my lunch hour. Did not bring lunch. Got two and a half reports done. The computer system froze up and shut down. I worked on something else for a while and left work at 6P. Got out to my car and my tire was almost flat again. Back to the gas station to fill up the tire. Then to the grocery store to get milk. $95.00 and 1 1/2 hours later, I got home. Nothing shoveled. Car got stuck so I took some of the groceries out and went in the house.

My son was 'over cooked' as I call it. He was tired, still hungry, and very crabby. His ADHD behavior was kicking in full force. I finally got him settled down, husband got home and took care of my car.

Now it is 12:48 a.m. and I should be in bed. I have not eaten much today so I better grab something and get to bed. Who knows what adventures lie ahead for tomorrow. We are supposed to get more snow. Tis the season and time to cut down a Christmas tree.
