Silence, Peace and Tranquility are Golden

To avoid stress and noise at home this week, I have been coming home late, about 7:30-8P, going straight upstairs, hop into bed and listen to Josh's manly, powerful, amazing voice. After I have unwound from my hectic day at work I pry myself out of bed and go outside to examine my garden. At 10:30 p.m. when I can no longer see anything in front of me, I go inside, get cleaned up, go on the computer, have a snack, get my son to bed and go to bed myself. I listen to Josh sing, read a little and go to sleep.

My life of chaos, confusion and arguing has got to come to a screeching halt. I am as old as dirt and my life dream is to have nothing but peace, tranquility, happiness and fun. However, I sit at this computer and hear my daughter chew ice which makes me want to punch her. The bats are scratching the wall by my computer and above the ceiling tiles in the kitchen flying around.

Tomorrow is my grandson's 3rd birthday. His mother decided taking him, her brother with a friend, and me to Green Bay, Wisconsin, was a wonderful idea. I am supposed to be thrilled to ride in the van with three little boys being boys, my daughter who will tell them to behave and be quiet. After an hour and a half of that fun, I am supposed to jump with joy at Bay Beach Park so they can go on rides, beg for food and then after all of that, go to Chuckie Cheese. OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Pizza Palace Hell.

It is the 4th of July weekend, one of the busiest travel/vacation times of the year and I want to stay home, play in my dirt and do whatever I want. If I stay home, I will worry all day about the kids. Now that I think about it, they can play and I will bring a towel with so I can sit on the grass and enjoy the swans, ducks and hopefully some pelicans. I forgot about that until now. I better get the suntan lotion out! Time to wash a load of clothes.
