Remains of my day...

After work today I visited Point Lobos State Natural Reserve to feel the fresh ocean breeze on my face and clear my mind while I walked along the cliff trails. The wildflowers are blooming now [photo 1] and the air was filled with their sweet scent blended with wild herbs of sage and dill. There were many species of wildlife out and about in the water, on the land and in the air; all showing a very impressive welcome to spring.

Then I drove around the Monterey peninsula on my search for the “magic carpet” and I hit the jackpot [photo 2] with it also in full bloom. This too sends the most fragrant scent into the air. I sat on a bench at the cliffs edge; absorbing the warm sunshine while watching the waves wash over the rocky shore, inhaling the sweet fragrant air while listening to Josh sing his songs so beautifully.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to enjoy such pleasures of California; after all Josh is a native Californian too. I just thought I'd share the end of my day with some of California’s coast most beautiful treasures.
