Black Hole...

Being unemployed in today's economy is the pits... The black hole (aka: endless tunnel) of despair.

Take it from me, I lost my job last summer (1 week before leaving to go to Europe for a 2 week vacation)... Upon my return, I began my search not having a clue as to the direction it would take me. Interview after interview; nothing. Seminars & job fairs... Still nothing (except maybe some useful information).

Then it happened (well, kind of)... Interviewing for a part-time bakery position at a small family owned grocery store, I was hired on the spot (literally). I start on Monday.

So, where does this leave me?
- Working part-time, I'll still be filing for unemployment. However, working will extend the duration of the weekly payments.
- Working part-time also looks good on the resume... Demonstrates I'm doing something with my time & still gives me the opportunity to continue to search for a full-time job elsewhere (and interview).
