Here is the London Official Road Reporter review from Josh's Straight To You Tour by ultimatefan1! Want to enter to win for a chance to be Josh's Official Road Reporter? Get all the contest details HERE!

To start the report with a gigantic ecstatic squeal would only be a glimpse of how incredible the whole experience was! Although I have been very fortunate enough to have gone to many of Josh’s concerts before I can undoubtedly say that London was a night I’ll never forget.

For those that know me will know that getting diagnosed with MS 18months ago at 19 was life changing and adjusting to either using a wheelchair on really bad days or a walking cane on others, through all the sleepless nights and the weeks in hospital was only made easier by Josh’s music; the feeling I’m sure so many of you are aware and familiar with. So when I received the news that I had won the road reporter competition not only was I sick with excitement but also with nerves. How was I going to pull it off? I went into overdrive; I plunged myself into intense physiotherapy for the days building up to the show and went on more medication so I knew I’d have the strength to stand without my walking cane. And it was soooo worth the trouble!

Going on no sleep from the night before as I’d been travelling back from Room 101 recording Josh did, I eagerly awaited for the show to begin. As the lights dimmed, the crowd cheered and the band took to the stage for their spectacular rendition of ‘Straight To You’, then Josh appeared to a roar of applause opening with Changing Colours, followed by February Song; my personal favourite You Are Loved and then Oceano.

From the hard work of some wonderful Grobie friends, glow sticks had been handed out before the show to those who wanted them and it was fantastic to see all the glow sticks go up in unison when Josh sang ‘and there is a light from a higher window…’ along with some other songs. As Josh began to sing Machine, I felt exactly that. A machine, and nothing was going to stop me from dancing. The atmosphere felt electric with people on their feet dancing and clapping, an energy that clearly was bouncing back and forth from Josh and the Groband as they leapt around on stage punching the air!

As always the show was filled with tears and laughter and the Q+A section was nothing short of Josh being a comical genius. In response to Claire who wondered whether in the event of a zombie apocalypse does Josh have a survival plan; we all found out in fact were not there for a show at all, instead we were his bait for the zombies. Unlike his friend in the Valleys who has a whole plan ready for when the days comes, he hopes to keep them away just by singing to them which bought about a short snippet of You Raise Me Up. The next question was by Hannah where we learnt that given the chance to be a woman for a day Josh would certainly take it, so he can sit down on the toilet or talk about and rate himself; even run for presidency. Somebody I’m sure we’d all vote for

The final question was more of a request as such, ‘ Ok,improv master, sing me a love song in your Elmo Voice’. The result was extraordinary as he sang out a few lines of When You Say You Love Me. I never thought a cartoon character could flutter the heart so much.

As Josh made his way through the crowds to select a married couple who had been standing the whole night in the aisles behind me the audience went into a frenzy again. When he got back Josh ended up with four single ladies on stage and the married lady, to which he said ‘I’m sure there was a man in here somewhere’ so he had to go back to collect the man to come on so the stage was all set for him to perform Broken Vow.

Some other songs of the night Alejate,Bells of New York City, Alla Luce Del Sol and Mi Mancherai which included the beautiful solo from Christian Hebel who is superb.

There were so many highlights of the show, Você Existe Em Mim and Josh playing the drums, Higher Window, the two encores, and of course the meet and greet with the man himself.

Thank You so much for giving me the opportunity to do this and for an immensely incredible night! Josh was phenomenal and the band was outstanding as always!

Josh and the whole team you never cease to amaze me with your talent!

    After all, you’re still you.
