    The Vision:
Straight To You: there is no better way to describe this tour! Josh set out with the vision to capture the intimate setting of his Before We Begin small theatre performances, and that is exactly what he did…even at much larger venue. He added two stages with "GAPS,” also known as the Grobanites Access Points, which enabled him to walk amongst and interact one-on-one with his fans. There was also a question and answer segment where he would answer random questions from fans. There is no way Josh Groban could have made this evening any more intimate.

Anyone who has seen Josh perform knows that he has a personality like that of a best friend, with a heart big enough to fill any venue with love and gratitude and a voice so grand yet gentle enough to move men and women of all ages to tears. A mixture of all of his wonderful qualities and amazing music is why Josh Groban has such a huge diverse fan base.

    The Music:
From his new fans to those who have been around since the release of his first CD ten years ago, everyone was in for a nice treat this evening. Josh selected a set list that was comprised of songs from each studio album, along with rare performances of Changing Colors and Play Me (a Neil Diamond cover). He brought a new life to songs like Broken Vow, which consisted only of a piano, a trumpet, and Josh. Broken Vow had to be Newark's favorite, because by the end of the song all I heard echoing from everyone's mouth was one word — BEAUTIFUL — as they wiped tears from their eyes!

As the two-hour show came to an end, there was one last special moment for all: You Raise Me Up, the final song of the evening. Josh began the song by asking everyone to sing along. For one second I told myself to stand there quietly and take in the moment, but what I witnessed was a magical moment that united us all. I watched everyone sing every word to the song, and slowly but surely they began to rise up to their feet, allowing the power of music to take over them. What a magical moment!

The Power of Music and Special Thanks:
I have always known the power that music possesses, and I appreciate how Josh Groban stresses the importance of music education with the Find Your Light Foundation. As a fan of Josh and a music lover, I’ve realized the importance that music plays in the lives of so many people, and pledge to make a donation. I hope everyone else does too. More information regarding the Find Your Light Foundation can be found on www.joshgroban.com.

I was truly blessed to have won an amazing opportunity to be one of the Road Reporters for this tour. It presented me with a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet, get an autograph, and take a picture with one of my favorite artists, Josh Groban. Thank you to Josh Groban and his team for giving a fan this opportunity.

There must be a moment for a few shout-outs. The first shout-out is to Katie, the lucky audience member who was chosen to sing The Prayer with Josh. Katie, you did an amazing job!

The other is to a special friend Anne Budde, who I happened to meet for the first time on the day of the concert. I had an extra Meet and Greet pass, because I was only expecting to have one for myself. As I stood outside amongst the crowd waiting to enter the venue, I took it upon myself to find a true Josh Groban fan. That is when I came across this sweet woman, Anne Budde. I walked up to her, asked if she was a true Josh Groban fan – because that was a must — and asked if she would like to join me. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever expected any of this to happen. I believe that good things come to good people, and since I was blessed with this wonderful opportunity, I was thrilled to be able to share it with Anne. Thank you Anne for joining me!
