Awake tour
I have a sister who has Down Syndrome. She is a rabid Elvis fan and in the '70s I kept telling myself that the next time he was on tour I would take her. Well, that never happened and I have always kicked myself for procrastinating and denying her that thrill. She is more like a daughter to me than a sister and I would move mountains to make her happy.
She is now a rabid Josh Groban fan and for the Awake tour I promised myself that I would not make that same mistake again. Despite desperate attempts when the early ticket sales happened, the system refused to recognize my membership. I was totally freaked and my son and DIL both were frantically trying to get into the system and help me. My DIL finally got us tickets in the 12th row on the aisle and on the night of the concert, Trudy was beside herself with excitement.
Melbourne, Australia Concert.
i was so excited to read in the paper on Mother's Day 2007 that Josh would be coming to Australia September 28th 2007. i jumped around my mums kitchen so excited, i told everyone i know that i was going and that i wanted nothing less than front row centre, they all laughed at me.
On June 4th my birthday i got up early went to get in line to get my ticket where i got FRONT ROW CENTRE, it was the best birthday present the Universe could give me.
the night of the concert you could feel the magic and the excitment as everyone getting seated. From the moment josh started to sing it was like there was no-one else in the concert hall. My eyes just followed Josh around the stage, it was even more exciting when Josh came into the audience to sing In her eyes.
Josh is one artist who sounds even more brilliant live than he does on his albums.
Thank you Josh for letting me escape for the two hours you performed at Hamer Hall Melbourne, Australia.
Awake Live
I have not seen any concert of Josh Groban live. But how I wish I could one day if given a chance. I only seen his concert "Awake Live" in DVD and I keep on watching it again and again whenever I wanted to, everywhere I go...in school, office or even travel coz I always bring with me my portable player. It feels like I was in the concert when I give applause to Josh in his live concerts or even shows.
noNE
ACTUALLY I HAVE NOT SEEN JOSH IN ANY CONCERT, BUT MY LATE HUSBAND BOUGHT A DVD IN CONCERT OF HIM I HEARD ALL THE SONGS, AND IT IS THE TIME TO REALLY LIKE HIM, HIS VOICE SUCH AN ANGELIC VOICE FOR ME, SPECIALLY WHEN MY SECOND BABY ARRIVED IN THIS WORLD HIS VERSION OF VINCENT (JOSH) WAS MY SON'S SLEEPING MUSIC, ALEX IS THE NAME OF MY BABY...EVERY NIGHT I PLAY JOSH GROBAN SONGS HE FELL TO SLEEP SOUNDLY WITH A SMILE...
MY HUSBAND REALLY LIKES JOSH GROBAN SONGS, HE USED TO PLAY HIS SONGS ALWAYS AND ONE SONG CAUGHT HIS ATTENTION AND THAT SONG "TO WHERE YOU ARE" HE USED TO LIKE THIS SONGS AS HE TOLD ME A LOT OF TIMES...IN THE YEAR 2007, IT WAS DECEMBER 1 MY HUSBAND MET ACCIDENT AND HE DIED DECEMBER 4 IN A VEHICULAR ACCIDENT. THIS SONGS REALLY MAKES ME CRIED A LOT BECAUSE EVERYTIME I WATCH JOSH SING THIS SONG IN HIS CONCERT I REMEMBER WAS MY HUSBAND SAID ABOUT THE SONG.
I ENROLLED MY ELDEST SON TO LEARN PIANO LESSON AND THE FIRST SONG I ASKED HIM TO LEARN WAS HIS DADDY'S FAVORITE SONG OF JOSH GROBAN "TO WHERE YOU ARE". AFTER IS VINCENT (JOSH VERSION)
Black History Presentation
I am a Liturgical Interpretative Artist and performed your "You Raise Me Up" for a presentation for the New Birth Baptist Church Black History program last month. I dedicated the dance to a family who have been my extended family and have lifted me up since the death of my mother and, six weeks after, the senseless murder of my son.
Your music was SO inspirational and afforded me expressions I could not render any other way!
I wanted to include my performance on YouTube but your music is protected and I was unable to upload it. But I would LOVE for you to see it and view the beautiful dance rendition to your amazing music.
Is there any way I could submit this video to you directly?
Thank you for your lovely creativity and be blessed always.
Sorry to disappoint...
but I am yet to attend one of Joshua's concerts (sad, I know). I will make a point to this next go-round. I haven't been graced with the man's presence, either... but one day I would love to shoot him (and by that, I mean with a camera). He definitely seems like a character that I would enjoy photographing.

It was wonderful volunteering with other grobies at this event honoring Neil Young, who is such a great musician and humanitarian. It was amazing seeing all the musical icons that came out to play and sing Neil’s songs. Josh was wonderful, playing and singing “Harvest Moon”. I just love this song. Tariqh played guitar for Josh. I didn’t get to say hi, but it was enough just to be able to stand on the side and watch Josh sing one song. The whole program was great.
Just Me
I'm hoping to find you in Spokane, WA soon....when you were here, I couldn't afford the tickets....just financial difficulties at the time, but I would love nothing more than to buy two tickets, now that I can afford them, to take myself and Austin, my grandson, to your next concert in Spokane. He would be so amazed and astonished to receive such a beautiful gift...which he will receive from me as soon as you get here :-)...we are all sooo proud of you Joshua...so proud. You still make me cry
