a close friend
my friend brandon pyles has always loved josh's music in particular his song "you raise me up" so much in fact that he chose to perform it at our high school talent show our senior year. he was always a person to light up the room, and put everybody in a good mood, very recently brandon took his own life, and now this song means more to his friends and family than ever, every time i hear the song i cant help but cry.
Future concert in Germany!!!!
November 2, 2009-Celtic Thunder
Sadly, I have not yet seen Josh live. :( I will one day. I'm pulling up all my money now for college. I did get to see Celtic Thunder on November 2nd and the only down side (if it's really even a down side lol) is that they don't talk between songs haha! on Live at the Greek and so many YouTube videos, you see Josh teasing the audience and having mini conversations. Celtic Thunder isn't just one guy, so it's harder to do that and not have some favoritism showed. Damian in particular is rather quiet. I think Paul would do most of the talking haha! But I think Josh has it going great for himself. He can just be up there on stage and be himself and sing his songs. (And he doesn't have to wear a kilt for ten minutes at the end of every show) hahaha! ok it's late (or early, rather: 2:06 AM) and I need sleep. Just thought I'd post any concert experience. I want to see Josh live so bad!!!! *hops up and down*
KSPS
Like most people, I had of course heard of Josh Groban but never paid that much attention until I happened to turn into the KSPS network on New Years eve 2009.
Needless to say, I was totally in awe of his talent and it was the Greatest New Years Eve ever.
Thank you for sharing this evening with so many people, and I wish you much success in 2010.
Hope you will get fairly close to Calgary, AB in 2010. Would love to see you live,
Hart

You Raise Me Up Saved Me
My best friend was dying. She had Cystic Fibrosis and was starting to decline, her breathing was weathered and her amazing energy was now forced. We spent the day at the beach (followed by a few cocktails), and listening to the entire Closer cd in the car on the way home. Shannon passed away a few days later.
As her best friend, I wanted to honor her memory and joined the CF Foundation running team to run the prestigious Boston Marathon. I'm not a runner at ALL, but our team raised $150k for the CF ward at Boston Children's Hospital - they support the families as they stay with their children in the hospital.
The day of the race, I had my iPod ready and was nervous but ready to go. My heart was a beating a million thumps a minute and I felt Shannon with me the entire day.
But as the day went on, I was struggling. And as the mile marker for mile 17 was ahead of me, I couldn't go on. I was hurt and my heart was sad. I missed my best friend. And I stopped, put my hands on my knees and started to cry. And there was the song.... You Raise Me Up on my iPod. Shannon sent her love through you and your song.
