Awesomely Great Show

From the concert:
Paris, France - 10/03/2011

I posted on FOJG board already my report on Paris Show. So I'll just copy paste THE show part here.

The opening act was great; many Grobies love Deep Forest too, so we did have fun too during the opening act. And finally Josh Groban!

I really enjoyed every second of the show. I was in the second row center (Orchestra Row C Seat 6) surrounding by mostly grobies. It was a beautiful show, we all danced along, sing along, took pictures, videos, laughed together.. Even an elderly couple who were sitting on the front row stood up dancing together with us!

Josh was awesome (he IS awesome), Loved all the songs he sang, really can’t decide which one was my fave.. LOVE his voice, loved how he tried to speak French, loved his story about his experience at the Star Academy Show when he accidentally ate some fake snow, loved his story singing at French Beauty Pageant Show how he winked to miss Picardie, loved his answers to questions, his acting in films -- "How do you say Douche bag in French?", ballet, pirouette things, sexy legs (he said it himself ); superpowers, loved his goofy dorky side, even loved how he told a rude guy who wanted a pic with him that he was in concert, when he came down to bring 'getting married' couple to the stage. And he was still so nice that he did take the picture with the guy! I think he was with the woman who came to Josh a few seconds later and kiss him on the cheek.

I am so happy that Josh invited our friend Severine Pascal and his future husband Emmanuel to the stage. They’re getting married this Saturday. What a wedding present! Many of us had posted on Facebook question section, so he’d make it special for them! And HE DID! Thank you Josh.
By the way, Severine Pascal is the one who did the artwork for Andre Manga’s album Voyage.

Happy for the lucky lady, Roxanne who was invited to the stage too. We don’t know her, hope she’s a grobie too and willing to come here share her story.

Josh was close to his audiences, or at least I felt like he really wanted to get to know us, he really tried a lot, sometimes he was a bit hesitated because of the language? Honestly I think he did a great job, many of audiences are not really grobies, but they were surprised by his personality, he was funny and dorky, he said that people might think that he’s strange, but come on, if he’s strange, then we’re a bunch of weird people who love this strange Josh I’m humbled by his sweet down to earth personality, such a nice fun talented guy!

Back to the show, song list, I don’t know if I’d got it in the right order, but for sure we started with Straight To You (instr.) followed by Changing Colors and ended with Smile, what a meaningful choices..

(not in a particular order, thanks Fr Grobies who helped me with the list)

I was charmed by the meaningful Weeping, touched by Alejate, almost teared up by Alla Luce and Mi Mancherai, refreshed by The Wandering.
Got uo on my feet and danced through Voce Existe Im Mim and Machine (Eric Mouquet joined the stage).
Sang along with the audiences on You Raise Me Up and You Are Loved (loved the new music arrangement). My heart was really moved by Galileo, Au Jardin Des Sans Pourquoi and Higher Window.

Felt understood when he gave introduction to The Bells of NYC – he said "I know how it feels like to come to a city like this and feel very welcomed.. so for any of you who are not from Paris but moved here from out of town because there’s something about the city that drew you to the city, that’s how I felt when I moved to NYC."

Hidden Away brought back memories from my youth (LOL, ok, I’m only 35yo but I had my Love sucks period too)
Broken Vow and Per Te were so beautiful, with bride-and-groom-to-be on the stage.
Mark played a romantic melody (if anyone could tell me what the song title was, it would be great!)

February Song and Oceano were beautiful too. When it came to Awake, OMG, I felt it, we’re nearly at the end of the show, brought tears to my eyes, I felt soooo sad , and a few more songs, and Smile ended the show.. It was indeed a very beautiful show.

The Groband did a great job too.., Christian Hebel got himself some new fans
Dan rocked with his trumpet, Andre having fun jamming on the bass, Mark heartily on the piano and Tariqh made love to his guitar!! Loved the whole team!
I miss Tim, but they did a great covering for him..

Straight To You, Live and let die and Josh on the drum were beautiful, sweet and fun!

The show ended.. I was so sad and happy in the same time. It was awesomely wonderful show, I had a super duper great time

Thank you Josh for being yourself, thank you for your music that brings people together, thank you for staying the same goofy dorky sweet fun Josh through these years. Thank God for you voice and talent!

Merci beaucoup Josh, reviens très vite à Paris! <3

Can't wait to see Josh in NYC! This tour flew by and I just want to tell him please DON'T wait another 4 years to tour. Your fans love to see you. The physicality of the shows are stunning. NYC will be #4 for me. Every one moves on stage, esp Josh. His bodyguard really gets a workout. Yes, there are songs I wish he did, but his crowd interaction time is well worth it. Keep writing and singing. You are in your absolute prime and will be. Please take a break and hurry back. We miss you already.
