My very first live JG concert was his Awake Tour in Boston I think in March 2007. I took my sister because I didnt want to go alone. I was amazed and shocked to see just how many people attended this event at the TD Garden Ctr and thought to myself, wow this guy must be really something. Well, ya...of course he is but just seeing all those people brought it to a whole new level. Who would have thunk that this young man would draw the crowd that he did. I mean old, young, male, female..didnt matter, he just drew in and captured that audiance. Anyway, while I did not purchase floor seats, I could not have chosen better seats if they were handed to me. I was so close to him I could almost touch him. Sitting on the side of the stage was awesome and the BEST non invasive view ever!!. I knew he played piano but totally never new he played the drums and that just blew me away. I'm thinking cripes what else does this man do? What a God given gife he has! From his opening number to his closing, his show was brillantly done; simply and not alot of fluff. When he ended the show with AWAKE, I couldnt move and could barely breath; I was left wanting more, More MORE...!! but alack and alas, the time flew by and it was over what seemed to be in a heartbeat. I never was able to meet him in person and probably never will. It's just not in the stars for me but I can never stop hoping. Unfortunately for me his last Illuminations tour in Boston last year I could not attend as my dad had passed away and although I know dad he would have said you go and have a great time; as much as I love and adore Joshua, my heart just wasnt into seeing him. And now that my mourning period is over, I pray to God that he will hit the Boston venue for his ATE tour and that THIS time I would be blessed to have had the honor to meet him. If not, I'll just live my dream......in my dream.
ps...bring my camera to the venue and forget to use it? He just captivated me...Brain dead...
