PLEASE record Changing Colors and put it on the CD, even if only in a special edition. I can't stop listening to it, but I can't put it on my i pod!! ARGHH! Love the song and you sound SO beautiful in it.
Changing Colors
I heard your version of "Changing Colors" at The Bridge School Concert with Neil Young summer of 2008 and loved it. Your piano playing was so different than what you usually do. I'm not sure if you took Sarah McGlachlin's advice when you questioned her about her piano style and incorporated it into your style? Your whole approach to the keyboard was so much more complex and intense. When you performed this song again at Nelson Mandela's B-Day Concert at Radio City, the audience couldn't really hear the sounds from the piano, although your voice was amazing as usual. I hope this song appears on your new CD and that the sounds from your piano playing can be heard. The message is as you shared, "a universal one".In your interview during the rehersal you also spoke of not recording or planning to record "Changing Colors". I hope you'll change your mind.
