What a beautiful day here. The sun is shining and the trees are starting to bud. Spring is around the corner - FINALLY!

I live in Marshall MN, a city of about 13,000 people. You wouldn't believe what I have in my back yard..........under my shed.........20 feet from the house..........a SKUNK! What a nice surprise.......NOT!

The other day my neighbor called to tell me to look out my patio door; I couldn't believe my eyes. It's either a big male or a very pregnant female. Scary thing is, she comes out during the day. If you know anything about skunks, they are nocturnal animals and if they come out during the day it usually means they're sick or rabid. My hubby has a live trap set up, but she's a sly one. Hasn't been caught yet. Good grief. Once she IS caught, the local police will come and shoot her and then WE have to dispose of the darn thing. And I understand it's inevitable that when they'r shot, they spray - that lovely sulfur/ammonia duet of a stench. I can't wait! :( EEEeeeeeeeek.

I'll keep you you really care about this as much as I do; it is kindof an unusual thing though, so thought I'd share!

Have a wonderful day!
