Birthday fun (and not so fun)

Yesterday was my birthday. I went to work like usual. Halfway through the day I called an academic advisor because I had some questions about school classes. What I found out really upset me. I was thinking that I needed to test out of a math class and he told me that I didn’t even need to take it. So I have been thinking for the past year that I need to take this class when in reality I could have just signed up for the class that I need which is one level up. I also found out that some classes I have to retake because the grade isn’t quite high enough. So right now I am about half a semester behind schedule.

When I got home we opened presents. I got Angelique Kidjo: Djin Djin [CD], Joshua Bell: Voice of the Violin [CD], Michael Bublé: Call Me Irresponsible [CD], Andrea Bocelli: Under the Tuscan Sun [CD/DVD] (I am going to take it back and get a different CD because I already have this one), and Lucia Micarelli: Music From A Farther Room [CD]. I also got the second book of the Inheritance Trilogy called ‘Eldest’ by Christopher Paolini. I own the first one and requested the second one. I haven’t read it yet but I have wanted too. The books are so much better than the movie.

After dinner we went and saw ‘Les Misérables’. It started at 7:30 and ended at 10:30. It was a three-hour long musical. It was so good. I love the music. I was really excited when I heard they were coming to the Pioneer Theatre because I thought that Dad could get tickets for us to see it. And I was right but he did get discounted tickets because this was a traveling production not a University company. I really liked it. My favorite version is the London cast recording. Mom and Dad went and saw it in London a long time a go and bought back the cassette. I want to try and find it on CD.
