Startin’ With Me

I was in my car eating a Subway sandwich (which was really, really good) and "Startin’ With Me" by Jake Owen played on the radio. This song always makes me think about what I am doing in my life right now that I wouldn’t like in ten of twenty years from now. I really like the chorus of the song. It goes like this…

If I had a dime
For half the things I did
That didn’t make no sense at all
I’d be living a little higher on the hog
If only I’d have known
That later on down the road
I’d look back and not like what I see
I’d have changed a lot of things
Startin’ with me

It always makes me think about what makes me happy and what I am just filling my life with. I have a good job that pays well. That is good because then I can save up for college and education is important. I have a family who loves me and I love them. I don’t always show them how much they mean to me. I could work on that more. I like who I am overall. I am getting better about taking care of myself. I allow myself to take an hour out of the day and relax. I don’t spend a whole lot of time on FOJG. But when I do I don’t feel like I am sitting and wasting my time. It is a break from the rest of the world who don’t understand Grobanites. I get plenty of sleep and I am eating healthy. I like "Startin’ With Me" because it keeps me in reality. I know that I have to set little goals everyday and try to achieve them. I have to be kind to others and myself so that I will be able to look back on my life and be glad of who I am.
