in my happy place.......

We were pulling out of the driveway this morning and we notice water covering our whole driveway.

It hasn't rained here in 2 months I swear. Everything is dry and dead.

So WHY is water covering the driveway? The brand new driveway that we just had re-done?

That's because a pipe burst underneath the brand new driveway that we just had re-done.

Was it on the utility district's side? Of course it wasn't.
It's on our side.

On a Sunday no doubt when you can't find a plumber in the whole state of Tennessee.

We had to cut off the water in order to keep from flooding the streets.

So I told the kids that if you have to go to the bathroom...make it meaningful.

Luckily I have enough bottled water for small things.

In the morning I'll turn it back on fast enough to take a shower.

This just kills me.

This is when I hate being a homeowner. I'd rather be homeless. No, not really, but what scares me even more is....where will it break next?
Is this just a sign of things to come?

So I've been in my happy place all evening trying not to thing about it. "It" meaning "will my homeowner's kick in?" and "What's my deductible?"
