On Dancing with the Stars Marie fainted. I didn’t get to see them dance because I was finishing up dinner but I did get there in time to see her faint. I started laughing because it was kind of funny. But it wasn’t funny. She could have been hurt. I also thought it was funny how Tom, one of the hosts, cut to commercial break. Everyone was dead silent. But enough about that... Tony was divine as usual, but I was a little disappointed in their dance. They didn’t really go anywhere. They stayed within a five-foot box. I missed the cut off time for voting barely so I didn’t get to vote and I was worried about Tony all day. They were in the bottom two! So were Mark and Kim. I am definitely going to vote as soon as I get to school from now on. That way I won’t have to worry about Tony and Jane so much.

The fires in San Diego have affected me more than I thought they would. In 2000 there was a controlled burn that got out of hand and became the Cerro Grande fire in Los Alamos, NM. I was living in White Rock, a suburb of Los Alamos, at the time. It was scary. We were evacuated because there are only two ways out and one was blocked. They were afraid of the fire coming down the mountain to the town and blocking the way out. We were gone for two weeks. I have a fascination with flames and so I thought the fires looked so cool. But I am not naive; I know that it is dangerous. That is how I feel about the San Diego fires. I feel so bad for everyone who has lost their homes and I cannot stand to think about what the charred mountain looks like. I hated to see my mountain burned in NM.
