Yawn...

Good morning, fellow Grobies!

I'm having a hard time waking up. I'm already here at work, and I even stopped and "treated myself" to a breakfast quesadilla and a Coke from Taco Bueno on my way in. That usually perks me right up, but today it just seems to be adding to the fatigue...and if course, Josh softly playing in my ears from my iPod is not helping...he relaxes me too much! No matter how much I should probably switch to something more peppy, however, I just can't seem to get up the strength to turn Josh off!

As you probably figured out by my last post, I'm a high school teacher. I teach 9th, 10th, and 11th grade English as a Second Language here in Fort Worth, Texas. As you can imagine, most of my kids are native Spanish speakers, which can lead to interesting lessons in English. I do love my job, but between that and my pregnancy, I feel really worn out right now. I can't seem to get enough rest, no matter what I do. I guess it's just the nature of the beast when you have a full time job and a family to take care of. When I had my first son, I was only working part-time as a book store manager, and I was able to get lots of rest whenever I wanted it (probably too much rest, if I was to be honest)! Now, I'm running all the time, because I also work two part-time jobs from home. Once again...YAWN!!!

I don't mean to complain, though, really. I'm very blessed to have what I've got - a great family, a beautiful home, and a beautiful child with another on the way. My job is never boring, and I am one of the fortunate ones who gets to go to work every day and actively make a difference in the lives of the people for whom I work (my students, in other words). I'm lucky as hell, so I really shouldn't whine.

But I sure am tired this morning.

Sigh. Students at 10:00 a.m. Maybe I should go take a lap or two around the track before my first class comes in. That could help. :)

Have a great day, everyone!
