We had our last sonogram this morning. I'm about 31 weeks, and everything looks absolutely perfect. She's still a girl (which we were relieved to hear, as our last baby "surprised" - they told us he would be a girl, then out he came, a boisterous boy)!

This sonogram had us a little stressed, because early on there had been some worry that the baby had Down's Syndrome. Of course, we would love her just as much, but no parent wants that for their child. Thankfully, though, it looks as though the early tests were in error - there wasn't a single sign of Down's or any other abnormality. I'm so thankful I don't even know how to express it.

We also got to see her face! That was very neat! I never got to see my son's face before he was born. I don't know if sonography has just gotten that much better in the time between Patrick and Thia, or if we just got a better "view" of her this time, but it was precious! She looks like a real baby! We saw her teeny tiny lips and nose, and here eyes were closed even though she was moving around to beat the band. :) She weighs almost 4 lbs...not long to go now!

I'm going to be smiling all day.
