Happy Memorial Day everyone!! I hope that it has been a good one for you so far. It's been pretty laid back here today. I'm much too sore to do anything. I didn't realize how out of shape I really was till I finished working in the yard the last few days. Wheew That's my cue to whip this body back into shape so to speak. The yard is looking good though. I had forgotten how large the yard is. BIG MISTAKE!! I don't think I'll forget that again. LOL

Today has been a day of reflection for me. I have had so many family members and friends and friends of the family that served our country through the years. This is the day to celebrate their service to us. I remember hearing how my parents, grandparents, great uncles, cousins, and friends of the family telling me how they served their country. It always made me so very proud. Some of them lost limbs, their eyesight and acquired brain damage which affected their speech, motor skills and even their thought processes. My mother-in-law was a Marine and served in war time too.
It's nice to see all the American flags that are placed on the graves of those who served. It's just a small way of saying we haven't forgotten them.
Well, I guess I've said all I can say for now. Have a great night!
Love and hugs,
Shirley
