I survived....

I survived the WI State Fair (although I feel like I've been hit by a semi)...

This year, like last year, everyone at the university had to pick up two shifts at State Fair booth. To sweeten the deal, we were even given a "leisure" ticket to go on our own w/ family or friends.

Well, I used my "leisure" ticket on Saturday to check out the animals, rides/games, and shop. I had a blast!

Because we were short staffed for the booth, I agreed to pick up an extra shift -- So, I worked the booth all day Sunday (8:45 am - 10:00 pm) and on Monday (8:45 am - 3:30 pm).

Because I was curious to see how many miles I would walk within the three days, I wore my pedometer each day... Within the three days, I walked approximately 15 miles!!! (6 of those miles were to and from my car - 2 mi. round trip each day).

Despite being tired out and sore from working the booth, I had a great time a the fair! Tried new foods and purchased a variety of items.

Went back to work at 4:00 pm on Monday... Boss's orders. I was so tired, I honestly don't think I got anything done w/in the two hours I was there. I'm still tired, but I accomplished a bit more at work today.
