Yesterday, I get a phone call from the school nurse about my 5 year old. About an hour later, I get a phone call from his teacher. They both wanted to tell me that he had an accident playing on the playground. They said he fell on the concrete and got a little scrape on his eye. I was a little irritated and almost went and got him. I wish I would have now. Well, after he got off the school bus that afternoon, I quickly went from being irritated to just straight pissed as hell! He didn't have a scratch on his eye, he had a HUGE bump and it is really bruised. There is a big difference from scraping the ground and hitting the ground. This was more than what they made it out to be. Anyway, it looked horrible. So, I brought him home and took some pictures. I asked him a few different times about what happened and the story stayed the same. Not once did it changed. The school said he and this little boy was playing. First of all, I do know this little boy and I know he is a bully. He used to play at my house but, I had to tell him he couldn't come back because he was mean to all of my kiddos, including the baby. Come to find out, my son was playing with his buddy and the bully child came up behind him, picked him up and dropped him on the concrete face first. I was SOOOOOO pissed! I emailed the pictures to his dad and called to let him know what happened and he was pissed as well. So, I emailed my pictures to walgreens, picked them up this morning and spent 30 minutes complaining to the principle about it. Good thing I am in cahoots with the principle. He made things right. He spoke with the teacher, the bully and his mother. He also took recess away from him for the rest of the week. I feel bad about that but, he needs to learn you can't do things like that to others. I am still mad at this situation.

I left the school feeling confident that this will not happen again.
