A day in the life...

Kids say the darnest things... Last Sunday, we all had dinner at my parents' place because my sister won't be in town for Thanksgiving.

In the middle of the afternoon, my youngest niece (age 6) approached me asking if I'd watch the "Easter Beagle" with her (meaning the Charlie Brown Easter special). Sitting her down, I explained the Easter Beagle only comes around at Easter time and suggested we watch the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special instead in which Snoopy and Woodstock dress up like Pilgrims.

I know I mentioned this in my other blog (on Fans of Classical and Cross Over Male Singers), but I was so dumbfounded, I'm mentioning it here as well.

Last Thursday at work, I was listening to Noel while preparing for Open House later that evening. A student came into my office to pay her tuition... At that moment, an Academic Advisor came by to drop something off and asked me what I was listening to because she thought it was nice. I of course replied "Josh Groban... Noel". The student looked at me and said, "I never heard of him. Who is he?" Before I could get a word in edgewise, the Advisor chimed in with, "Not quite classical. Most of his songs are a little sappy..." I was horrified!!! How could anybody say that about Josh's music?? Recovered from the shock, I simply said, "Josh Groban is more Adult Contemporary" knowing that if I said anything else the girl would think I'd lost my marbles.

Okay... How can anybody not know who Josh Groban is? That's like someone saying they don't know who Paul Simon, Billy Joel or Michael Jackson are. Come on!!!
