So we celebrated my son's birthday in 10 year old style. Last night he came into my room crying. He was all upset because he wasn't going to be in the "single digits" any more. We did some explaining of how exciting double digits can be and how there are so many to look forward to. He chose to go to Old Country Buffet for dinner. We got there and Tygen looked at me and said "mom, is that grandpa?" sure enough my dad was standing right infront of me. We had dinner with my parents.
I was up all night last night with my sinus issue. I am planning on going to bed soon to "catch up". I have to tell you about my morning.
So I got up extra early since sleep wasn't happening, drank the coffee, got ready for work and I thought, I am going to go and watch Ty sleep for a few minutes. I went in his room and he was all covered up with his little knees up in the air. I watched for a while and then I went and gave him a kiss on the forehead. If he woke up I would have wished him a happy birthday, but instead he did his cute stretch and made his little groan and sigh just like he did when he was a baby. It brought tears to my eyes to relive that. He's such a mama's boy and I love it!
have a great rest of the week. Tomorrow will be busy. Wine bottling, psych appt for Ty (by the way our therapist took another job. I am so sad, but will be at the middle school my kids will go to) then we have the family party. Life is never dull is it?
