an Easter to remember

It has been a rollercoaster week for me and my entire family. Our pastor based his sermon around grandpa and miracles. An infection from shingles that caused encephelitis that put a man in unending seizures and in a coma for 2 days. The end was near and no hope that he'd recover. Well, grandpa has the dr's, nurses, and family and friends scatching their head this time. at age 95, he's beat every odd. This guy has been blown up with dynamite, fell off scaffolding onto his head and has suffered so many injuries to mention. We've been trying to ask him if he dreamt anything or saw angels or people while he was so close to death. He doesn't remember. It is all a mystery. The thing that gets me is he has never been text book and I LOVE IT!!
Today I was able to feed him his liquid lunch. Juice, milk and tomato soup. At this point anything tastes good. we talked about a lot of things, but his interest was in my stained glass. I haven't had much time to work on anything, but do plan on giving myself a break from the hospital this week. I'll go on tuesday for a few minutes after a class I have at the hospital. he's going to have to be in some intense therapy so he can go to his new townhome he just had built for him and his wife. That is his goal.
I need a break from the emotional rollercoaster myself. I can honestly say that this has been an Easter to remember.
Hope you all had a blessed one filled with family and PEEPS!! Ya know, you could probably play chubby bunny with those. I'll challenge you Josh!!
Love and hugs
~Cheryl
