{Concerning my last post: My FOJG friends always know what to say! However, I wonder if they know that's why I continue to vent here...because I always end up stronger after their kind, heartfelt comments? Enablers! LOL I TRULY APPRECIATE IT!}

Well, we went to visit a new church congregation tonight. After preaching once a month where we regularly attend and filling in for other places occasionally, Craig decided that he would try out for a preaching position a friend of his told him about. I am excited at the prospect and think that simply the possibility is the "boost" we have been needing in our lives lately. Whether he's offered the position or not, it is exciting to go to new places and to meet new people. Even our kids were excited tonight.

Also concerning my last post, I did try to apologize for the argument with my family member the other day. Since I knew she wouldn't answer the phone, I texted "I'm sorry about our argument yesterday. I know you were trying to rest from an exhausting weekend. I love you!" and I have heard nothing. Although I did not say anything hurtful, I still tried to take responsibility for my part in the arguing. That is all I can do other than pray the situation is resolved. I know her VERY well, and believe that it will probably be quite some time before she talks to me. I don't hold grudges; she always has. I'm patient; she's not. The older I get, the more I'm losing my patience--though I try hard not to in the moment! I just hope she will realize how hurtful the things she said were to me and that we can move on.

I'm thinking about starting an online blog that deals with several areas of this stay-at-home-mom's life. Subjects like cooking/recipes, cleaning tips/hints, organization, crafts & hobbies, etc. I would have already started it, but haven't simply because I don't want to fall into not finishing what I start. I want to be sure it's something I'll keep up with on a regular basis.

I hope everyone is doing well. Please don't forget those who are suffering still from the storms across the South as well as the flooding in Tennessee. My dad lives and works in West Tennessee and my mom lives in Nashville. Both of them are trying to help in the recovery process...it's a very sad situation. And unfortunately, the media seems to be more concerned with "what could have happened" with the Times Square car bomb and the "what could happen" with the oil spill--not at all that they aren't important, but people lost lives, loved ones, and their homes due to the storms and floods. Even The Weather Channel said over the weekend something to the effect of "I'll get to the tornado warnings in just a minute. First, lets take a look at the Gulf". HELLO?! There were people that were watching at 12:00 a.m. that needed to know where that tornado was heading right then!!!! And my dad was one of them!!! It made me so mad! I do care about the effects of the oil spill on the environment and the livelihoods of the people it will affect. And I do care about terrorism and think it should be stopped. But PLEASE! Tornados bring about a bit more urgency than the "what-ifs" the tv networks were covering during those storms. JUST MY OPINION.

Anyway, off the soapbox.

Softball season got off ot a fun start the other night. The girls each had 2 games each. I'm so glad Craig's coaching so that he was able to put Kara on Riley's team to consolidate at least that much. While they were on one field, I was at the other for Cassidy's games. I did manage to see some of Riley & Kara's first game between Cassidy's 2 games. Cassidy did really well, but her team lost both games. Riley's pitching and Kara's catching for their team. They lost the first game in the bottom of the last inning! So close! But they did win the second game 10-0 :-). I'm looking forward to their tournaments this weekend and hope that they all get to the winner's bracket!

Well, I need to go get some sleep. I hope everyone is having a great week! Take care!
