Is it true?

Really?! The launch of FOJG hints of the new album tomorrow?! I'm elated, ecstatic, proud, relieved, giddy, and selfishly impatient all at once. It's just that it's been sooooooooooooooooo long since the last time we experienced brand new music.

Anyone who might read this understands that when you hear Josh sing, you just want to hear more of him. I still don't know exactly what it is about his voice. Imo, maybe it's the fact that there are few male artists who don't mumble, slur, scream, or stay in my vocal range. No doubt there are some who really do sing well, but not like Josh. He truly is in his "own lane," if he chooses to stay in it.

I put in the Chess DVD the other day, and I've had it running through my brain ever since. It just reminded how much I love hearing Josh sing and how long it's been since I heard him in person. I'm still in awe. In the quartet, he hits a low, low A and a treble G--THREE OCTAVES--in the same song. And he's nice, too, albeit a bit on the bad and irreverant side more often now.

--Skip this part if you don't want to read my rambling.--(I guess we're all that way, but we're all without excuse. I have to admit I was getting a little disillusioned with my being a fan and supporting someone who, as nice as he is, holds views in sharp contrast to my own. I still look forward to the new stuff, and know that being a fan this long comes with realizing that he's as much of a fallen human as I am. With a voice like an angel, it's hard at first not to think he is one.)

Not sure what this next album holds in store, but I'm glad we'll be able to find out. Now where's my vuvuzela ... oh, here it is! ;)
