21st Birthday Gift On March 1, 2011 I received an e-mail showing the concert dates. I saw that Josh was coming to MI 7/16. My birthday happens to be 7/11 and to top it all, it was my 21st birthday. So I proposed to my parents that if they pay 100 dollars toward the ticket that would be the best birthday gift ever. They payed for it all. While at the concert, Josh came down my aisle and passed right by me. I couldn't believe it. It was the best concert and best birthday gift I could have asked for! |

Phenomenal! Okay, are you ready for this?! I left home at about 3:00 after primping and making sure everything was perfect. I packed my camera, the poster, and Josh's socks of course. The drive to Auburn Hills was uneventful besides me singing to my Josh Groban tape the whole way there. Who cares about the drive though, let's get to the concert. I got to The Palace at 5:30 and waited in line to pick up my front row ticket package. I talked to a couple of ladies from Canada and we all got our wristbands... |

Josh....I know I must have thanked you a million times that night. However thank you again. You gave my 3yr old son, Joseph, the opportunity to song The National Anthem with you. You were so kind and humble to us and so great with my son that evening. I have received so many kind comments and compliments since the show. I am a fan and when my son was about 2yrs old he saw me watching you on YouTube and became hooked. We always say you have the voice of an angel. He always wants Josh on the computer. We eventually came across you singing the National Anthem at several different events and the rest is history. He learned the entire song in 1 mth and at 28 months old began singing it. He has the tone and pitches down because of listening to you sing it! There are several posts on YouTube of you two singing it together and I am so amazed every time. My son sang with Josh Groban!!! We are so truly blessed and thankful for that night and are forever grateful to you for giving us a moment to cherish for a lifetime. You are such an amazing talented artist that I have loved since the Ally Mcbeal days! Thank you again so very much again for being such a humble, kind, person, as well as an incredible performer. Good luck and be safe on the rest of your journey throughout the world!!
@KARIKRZ I was there that night too. I couldn't (and still can't) believe that a 3 year old could sing the Star Spangled Banner and not miss a word or note. Joseph is Amazing! I too have been a fan of Josh Groban ever since the first time I saw and heard him (how could anyone NOT be?) sing. I think it was at the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics when he sang The Prayer with Charlotte Church. (It might have been sooner, but at my age (75) the memory gets a little blurry.)The whole show was great! He really changed the format from the last tour I saw him in 2007. He shows his comedic side much more now. I am sure that Joseph will never forget his special night for as long as he lives.
