Josh and the Star-Spangled Banner-- only two of my primary sources of inspiration. Pure class indeed. I love the small brass band in the backdrop and the drums-- played like perhaps Francis Scott Key would have intended for it to be. Although if it were my article, yours and Whitney's would be tied for number one.

Alright here's a confession are you ready for this? When I first began listening to your music after picking up Noel at Starbucks, I thought you lived in London or someplace in Europe because of the classical pop association. Never mind the fact that one of the songs on Noel featured poignant recordings from US soldiers in Iraq! It wasn't until last summer when I was internet surfing and came across the fact that you're an American that I did a double-take and my curiosity peaked. Not sure exactly why that was-- perhaps as a European one would easily fit you into the Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman group though your music clearly distinguishes itself from even that of the classical pop musicians. Perhaps because I can't think of another American recording artist (opera singers aside, of course) that sings in multiple languages so flawlessly. I realize I've said this before in various ways-- As an American you're breaking all sorts of molds, and I'm really proud of you for that. Ok it only took me from 2007 to 2010 to figure that out, but things happen in time and place for a reason!
