In the year 2007 Josh had a concert in a small venue near “Globen”. My friend who was with me at this show went to that show and back then she said “Next time Josh is coming to Sweden I’m sure he’s going to perform in the Globe.” And so he did. Yesterday it was “Groban in the Globen”. Our warm-up was at first trying to find my passes to the Meet & Greet and the photo-pass. That was not an easy thing to do. Finally we attend the M & G before the show. That was so great and fantastic to meet Josh in person and to see that although he is such a huge star he is also an ordinary man. A man that happens to be an amazing singer and also very kind and humble. Josh himself later on said that every time they give a show in Sweden they performe in a larger venue and he enjoyed that. And I have to say that although the Globe was filled with several thousands of fans the show felt intimate and cosy.

Then we had to wait outside the venue, in the cold, before we got permission to enter with my camera. Finally we could sit down on our great seats in row two! One of all the good things by going to a concert is that you really can tell if the artist is truly talented or not. And yes, Josh is truly talented. He really showed me once and for all that he is an artist. Not that I ever doubted. Josh really invites the audience into the show. The audience by the way consists of all kinds of people – young and old, men and women. One of us, Hanna I think her name was, got the honor to sing “The Prayer” together with Josh, and she did very well! And five people got to sit in a couch on stage, drinking a glass of wine that Josh served them. One of the guests in the couch took the microphone over and over and said: “I’m stealing the show” and the famous singer had to wait to get it back, hilarious!

He also invites his fabulous musicians in the show. They all plays violins, drums and all the other instruments so well and I’m so impressed by them all. Josh Groban treats us with a mixture of old songs and new songs, a lot of humor and warmth, and a concert to remember forever. His amazing voice is for real.

Another good thing about going to a concert is that you can find new favorite-songs. To be honest, I hadn’t listened that much to “Illuminations” but now I really like most of the songs in that album. “Galileo (someone like you)” made an impression and I already loved “The wondering kind” but I love it even more knowing that Josh wrote that when he was 12 years old. Wow! And how come I didn’t recognize that “Alejate” is Celine Dions amazing song “Just walk away”? I love them both. A really powerful song is “Alla luce del sole” and it was even more powerful live. Oh, and “You raise me up” in that version where everyone I “Globen” sings, that is just, wow!

I only wish that “You are loved – don’t give up” would’ve been the original, I like it’s positive energy and tempo, it really is a great song to start a show with. I also missed two favorite songs, “Remember when it rained” and “l’Ultima Notte”. In the next show? But who am I to complain! It was a wonderful concert performed by our favorite singer. Josh Groban, Thank You! A few of the other songs are also favorites, “Broken wow”,”To where you are”, “Per te” and “Mi mancherai” are a few of all other amazing songs.

So, superhero “Viking Blurg” alias Josh Groban, the score for the evening is five of five possible. Thank you for the show – I’m so happy!
