Josh and the Cookie Lady

on September 30, 2008 - 2:07am

If you haven't had the chance to go to the forums and watch the short video clip about "Josh and the Cookie Lady" please do so. It is so cute and so like our Josh. It shows Josh being led/taken to the Emmys audience with his entourage - and when did Josh need to be led or taken anywhere by the hand/wrist especially by this young woman (by the way who was she anywho?) and to be able to not find his own way? - maybe it was some Emmy rule or such. What is so cute is the way this cookie lady just wants to speak to Josh and Josh pulls and twists away from the person and goes and talks to her for just a minute or so and she gives him a cookie which he actually tastes - it's really hard to hear what she says - and then gets a quick hug and he's on his way again. She didn't even want an autograph or a picture - she just wanted to talk to Josh and even managed a wonderful hug out of it (which is more wonderful in itself because I've also had one of his hugs) and now it's immortalized on video. And just when we couldn't love him anymore than we already do! Josh - don't ever let anyone ever stop you from signing an autograph or getting a pic or just talking to a fan because that is one of the reasons we love you so! You take the time to make us feel special and not many celebraties do that. So kudos to you, Groban, and thanks for making the Cookie Lady's day and ours!!!

Josh's Vblog

on September 24, 2008 - 5:26pm

YEAH!!! Josh finally gave more of himself to his Grobies and we appreciate it so much even after being so busy these past few weeks! He looked a little tired, but still hot, hot, hot as ever. His kitchen looks wonderful - wouldn't mind a blog with Sweeney by his pool. I'm so excited for that new cd to come out that I want it like yesterday - don't most of us?! We appreciate all the hard work you do for us and all that you give to us also. Just be Josh - wonderful, funny, human, beautiful, kind, thoughtful and insightful. We love you lots Josh!!!

What can I say that everyone else hasn't been saying? Josh -you were absolutely phenomenal, fantastic, funny, HAWT, hilarious - need I say more?! Loved that dance move during Love Boat (need to do more of that Josh) and the voice inpersonations were out of this world - who knew he had that all in there?! (His Grobies did!!!!) Certainly now Josh will be asked to host SNL as we all know it's a dream of his and he deserves it especially after this. Hope you had a great night Josh just celebrating the wonderfulness that is you!

Milwaukee Awake Concert Memories

on August 5, 2008 - 11:42am

I can't believe that it was a year ago today (Aug. 7th) that Josh was here in Milwaukee and that my daughter and I were at the Bradley Center - sometimes it seems like just yesterday! Of course, I had gotten tickets in April of 07 when FOJG members were given the chance first. When I tried the first time to get tickets they were on the floor off to the side and I said I have to have front row tickets nothing else will do so after the 3rd try up popped front row seat tickets as far as I could comprehend and I went for 2 tickets. I called the Bradley Center to make sure they were and they said yes. I was practically hyperventilating at work when I realize that I was certainly blessed with fantastic tickets. The waiting until August didn't seem fast enough. I got an email saying that I would need to pick up my tickets at the willcall window because of the seating. Well, August 7th came (it was on a Tuesday last year) and I was on pins and needles all day anxiously awaiting the time my hubby would drop us off there -it was a hot and sticky day and I was thinking about what outfit to wear - I knew it would be wonderfully air-conditioned inside. So at 5:45 we left for the venue and had to wait outside until 6:30 when they at least opened the doors and I got my tickets. We bought some merchandise first (a couple of mugs, the program, and a couple of keychains). The willcall person and the ushers kept saying how "lucky" (I prefer blessed) with the tickets I had gotten. Laura, my daughter, and I walked towards the front of the concert hall and low and behold we were also center stage (the orange line tape was between our seats of 7 & 8 first row. We were so excited and thrilled beyond belief because it was also right in front of the circular part of the stage where Josh sits down and sings NWIA! Laura took pics before the show started - Angelique was so awesome and she even got us out of our seats and dancing while she sang! (This is going to be a long journal entry as you can see I haven't even gotten to where Josh comes on). Then she finished and we waited about 20 minutes while they set the stage for Josh. Then it was time for what we so long awaited for - that orange curtain with Josh's beautiful angelic voice behind it and when that curtain went up OMG I screamed like crazy - and then when he got to the part where he took his microphone and came to the front of the stage I practically went hysterical with him being so close that I couldn't believe he was only a couple of feet away from us!! It was so surreal and so .... oh, most of you know what I mean! Right before the performance of his 3rd song it was "Now or Never" for me - I had bought a cute little teddybear with a red Badgers sweatshirt on it and I put pixie sticks in his paws and made some hearts with the words "Can I have a hug, please?" written on them. I went to the front of the stage (thankfully security didn't stop me) and I held up the teddybear for Josh and put my arms up for hopefully that long-awaited hug (probably before he had a chance to read the hearts) and asked for a hug. He teased and kept saying "a hug for a teddybear?" and I kept saying "yes" and then it happened - he said "ok" and bendt down on his knees and gave me a wonderful hug (I can still feel the fabric of his jacket on my cheek and I even mangaged to give him a chaste kiss on his scruffy cheek before he let go!) OMG - I will remember that for the rest of my life!!!! I don't even remember if I thanked him or not I was just so in 7th heaven at that moment and so excited on my way back to my seat and everyone was clapping and cheering! I was the only one that night during the concert that asked for and got a hug! I felt so special and so privileged. Laura got some wonderful pics of that and all night long and I believe even some fellow Grobies posted pics and videos of the concert during that magical moment and during the time my daughter asked for his autograph which happened shortly afterwards. Laura handed him our program and he kept teasing her that he handn't seen a program yet and that he thought he would keep ours lol - daughter said he could, but he signed it with his beautiful hugh smiley face and that was her moment. During his singing of NWIA I was so close to the man I could touch his leg, but I knew to give the man his space. It was so wonderful from that moment on until the end of the concert when we all just stood up and watched the rest of the show. Afterwards we went out to the busses because he would be there and got to thank him for such a wonderful show. We even saw Obi and Duncan there and they were there with Rileysmom who had won BSP's and I got to meet her and her daughter. It was truly a night to remember and I hope and pray that Josh will be coming back to Milwaukee on his next leg of tour and of course, nothing else but front row seat tickets will do - and maybe winning BSP this time around?! I can only hope and pray. I would love to read other journal entries of those who had attended the AWAKE concert tour last year and reminice about what a wonderful, giving man Josh truly is and how that voice will always affect us and raise us up always!!!! Thanks for the best concert of my life, Josh!!!!

Josh on Letterman

on May 1, 2008 - 9:15am

Josh was phenomenal on Letterman last night! Can the man fill a pair of jeans or what?! His voice was beautiful and I loved the way he moved with the song and the way he ended Weeping! One little complaint though - Josh, loose the hat! I so wanted to see those curls, but after reading some of the other threads about his appearance the more I looked the more sexy he certainly is from head to toe - but I'm a "curls girl" - what can I say?! Otherwise he did a fantastic job and am looking forward to his other tv appearances!!!
