Just saying hi

on August 14, 2012 - 4:23am

Just wanted to say hello and you're in my thoughts and prayers, rooting for you as always. Energies are absorbed in my work and responsibilities at the moment. Things to do and more things to do. When everything is a priority still the only way to get it done is one step at a time. Be well, take care of yourself, enjoy the happy colorful energies of the Pajanimals and Poppy Cat. Gracing my screen these days is a lot of Studio Ghibli-- what a wondrous magical world he has tapped into. A truly inspired amalgamation of spirituality, art, and magical worlds to which only children and the most privileged adults are privy.

Random as usual

on July 28, 2012 - 8:25pm

Been listening to a lot of Susan Boyle. Her rendition of unchained melody is simply marvelous. What a beautiful interpretation of a song I used to regard as overplayed and trite. Been wondering what it is about her voice that inspires so as I've encountered many singers over the years with a voice as good as hers if not better. She does the same tapping into the higher self as Josh does whether consciously or subconsciously when she sings, thus tapping into divine inspiration that leaves the soul feeling as if it's been reawakened after hearing one of her songs. UM in particular. For what is music about but to inspire, and what is inspiration about but to give one a vision of his/her highest potential, a sense of joy and celebration in all that one is and all that one can be.

FYL and LACHSA concert

on June 29, 2012 - 12:50am

Tonight's benefit concert was hands down the best JG concert I've had the privilege to attend. Josh-- impeccable as always and charming moments of spontaneous humor. The drumming was quite impressive. Virtually all the songs were among my top favorites. The Sweeney Todd selection was very new and very sweet.

The acoustics were unlike any I've heard before, thanks to Disney for setting the highest standards across every possible endeavor they have ever initiated. Everything just dazzled and sparkled and the sound was delicious to the ears. The lights enhanced the music just enough in the perfect balance of visual and audio harmony.

L'Ora Dell'Addio

on June 23, 2012 - 9:12pm

Still standing ovation material in my book. Just spectacular and glorious. So glad it was included in the last album. It came out on the day I successfully defended my dissertation for my PhD in front of five of the most well-known figureheads in my field so I shall always associate this song with that glorious day. I'm not trying to indicate any preferences but your musicianship just shines brilliantly in the more classical pieces. If I start posting more you'll know it's because I'm procrastinating more. Also I listen to a lot of your music when writing.

FOJG is still a safer outlet than other places for posting stuff even though these entries are to some degree googleable.
