Here is the Pittsburgh Official Road Reporter review from Josh's Straight To You Tour by Anglstrmoon! Want to enter to win for a chance to be Josh's Official Road Reporter? Get all the contest details HERE.

The first time I saw Josh Groban in concert was in 2004 at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh, a birthday present from a friend. Fast forward 7 years, and I was going to see Josh in concert once again, a birthday present to myself! As a member of the fan club, I decided to take advantage of the package tickets for my friend, Cat and me.

When I entered the contest to be the road reporter for Pittsburgh, I never thought that I would win. I was really surprised and excited when I received the email explaining I would have the opportunity to meet Josh and even more excited when I learned that I would be able to take Cat with me to meet him also.

The concert experience started with some FOJG members getting together at Pizza Milano’s for some dinner before the concert. It was nice to meet other fans and learn where they traveled from for the show. After dinner, we went up to the Consol Energy Center, where the concert was being held, to get my meet and greet passes and tickets for our seats.

After entering the Consol, Cat and I made our way to the floor for the meet and greet. The fact that the meet and greet was taking place in front of the Pittsburgh Penguins locker room made this experience that much better, being the hockey fan that I am. Cat and I met Josh at the same time, since they were running short on time, which was fine with me. We were able to get autographs, say a few things to Josh and get a picture taken with him. I introduced myself as the FOJG road reporter and stated that I was happy to get the chance to meet him.

After the meet and greet, Cat and I went out to the floor to find our seats. Once we were seated we didn’t have to wait long for Elew to take the stage. This was the first time that I heard Elew perform and I was very impressed.

From reading other reports, I knew that Josh would be starting the concert in the middle of the floor, so I made sure that my friend was prepared for that. This started an awesome two hour music experience that I feel lucky to have been able to experience. He sang many of my favorite songs including Bells of New York City, War At Home and Per Te. It was nice to see Josh take up a young woman, who is leaving for the Navy in a few weeks, on stage to sing Smile with him. You Raise Me Up was the perfect way to end the concert and the night by creating an inspirational atmosphere for fans to take with them as they exited the arena.

All in all it was a great experience from meeting other fans to meeting Josh to the concert itself. I would like to thank FOJG, Josh, and everyone else who I met at the concert. I hope to get the opportunity to have this experience again.
