Here is the Norfolk Official Road Reporter review from Josh's Straight To You Tour by luce_del_sole!

    “I can’t... No!”

It was all I could say when I read the email. I had won the road reporter contest, with a chance to meet Josh Groban. I laughed. Me? Meet my favorite artist? Never.

Besides, even if I tried to meet him, I would probably end up getting sick on his shoes or something. So I resigned myself against it, saying I’d rather never meet him than look ridiculous in front of him.

When my friends and family found out, however, they refused to let me miss this opportunity. Before sending me off, they made me solemnly promise to bring back a picture and his autograph.

And it was awesome... despite the fact that I nearly ran out the room about four times, and was so nervous I didn’t even look up at him while he was talking. Oi! (Definitely a “palm-slap to the forehead” kind of moment.) The poor guy probably thought I hated him... Yeah, I was probably pretty awkward, but hey, I still met him!

Oh, I had intended for this review to be completely objective... but there goes that. :)

The main performance was preluded by the very talented Elew. And talk about a passionate performer! He covers popular songs on the piano, but with a unique twist... at times he would literally reach into the piano to create the sounds he wanted. Often, too, he would blend songs together to create a humorous effect. Seamlessly; the crowd was pleased yet anxious.

But the moment did at last come. One by one the lights grew dim and the crowd was hushed. There was a rush of excitement as all eyes moved to the stage, where, in only moments, the show would begin. And out of the darkness, a trumpet sounded the opening notes of the tour’s title, “Straight to You”.

The list of songs Groban performed that night came from all of his past studio albums (excluding the Christmas album, Noel), but pulled heavily from his newest record, Illuminations. Of these songs, he dedicated “War At Home” to our service men and women, and “If I Walk Away” to the Young Audiences of Virginia, which was sponsored by the Find Your Light Foundation.

Later, after a comical questionnaire, which involved the infamous “Kanye West Tweets” and a sock-sock-shoe-shoe dilemma, came some of my favorite songs. His band covered the rock song, “Live and Let Die” to a glorious perfection, which was immediately followed by Josh’s drum solo. This of course, led us to the beautiful “Voce Existe Em Mim”.

Finally, he ended with a fan-favorite, “You Raise Me Up”. By the end, everyone stood to there feet to join in the song. And yet it didn’t end there. He graciously came back at the encore’s request to sing us two more songs, “Hidden Away”, and “Smile”.

It’s been six months since the start of Mr. Groban’s current tour. Truthfully, I would’ve thought the whole band to be thoroughly worn out by now. But each performed with much diligence and animation -- particularly the vocalist himself. He easily performed over fifteen songs that night, faithful to the very last note.
